Look at that Winnipeg kid getting the Conn Smythe - who's the ******* handing it to him though?

Kudos to the Flyers fans for sticking around too, that building is still pretty full.

What was weird about it?

The puck flying into the corner, getting stuck, no goal light, and no officials pointing to a goal...  Then Philly still skating around to play and the Chicago players all going to celebrate at the other end of the ice.  You have to admit that was probably one of the stranger endings to a cup final...  Lots of confusion there.  I saw it go in, but I don't think the majority at the arena did it seemed.  Even the Hawks bench was hesitant to join the 6 on the ice who'd started celebrating.

It had a very "uncomfortable" feeling to it, haha.

Oh, ok.  It was pretty clear it went in, but yeah, I guess I might have had an advantage in watching it on tv.  It was deathly quiet, but that's what I'd expect if the Hawks scored.

It was a neat ending, and a nice game...  All the back-and-forth...  That series was like watching two boxers just slug it out and defense be damned.

I'm very happy for the Chicago Blackhawks, the organization had to endure some pretty dire times in the last decade...  Glad Rocky was able to rebuild the team and get the Stanley Cup back to Chicago so quickly after his father passes away...

On a personal note, I've now seen the Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls and White Sox all win their respective leagues' top honors.  I also think that I will never see the same feat accomplished by the Cubs!

BTW, CBC just now is ending their coverage.  Hockey seems somewhat important up here no matter who's playing.   ;D

I went down to the Clark street riot party a little while ago.

Now if the helicopters would just go away so I can get to bed.   8)
