I kind of thought the Hoth Rebel looked like Jeff a little.    :D

He's got a lot of great fodder to make figures of himself.

Y'know, I was waiting for Sideshow to get SW for years, and when they did I was very excuted.  But I just don't like their products.  That guy looks all lumpy and loose and goofy.  For 30-40 bucks, yes.  But 80?  No.

There a cooler pick of the trench coat rebel in the SW chronicles...he has a dark beard, and is very tough looking.

From Yakface.com:

Quote
The Vintage Collection Wave 3
1x Gamorrean Guard (21482)
1x Ackbar (21483)
1x Jedi Luke (21484)
1x Skiff Guard - Woof (21485)
1x R2 with Pop-up Lightsaber & Drink Tray (21486)
1x Rebel Commando (21487)
1x Yoda with Hover Chair (21481)
1x Wicket & Kneesaa (21488)
1x Rebel Pilot (Wedge) (21489)
1x Clone Trooper (20833)
1x Sandtrooper (20832)
1x Darth Vader (97580)

Ackbar fans, rejoice! It's also great to see that Hasbro is doing another Ewok 2-pack (or maybe its last?), considering that Hasbro itself said that it would no longer continue 2-packs. :( R2 should be an exciting release - Hasbro made this pretty fast, considering that only a few months ago Hasbro had said in a Q/A that they would consider this figure. Proves that Hasbro really does listen... sometimes. ;) Glad to see Wedge is in this wave (but will he be a repack from the Target exclusive?).

I'm pretty disappointed Emperor Palps isn't here, but bets are that he'll make an upcoming ROTJ wave. And I don't get why Sandtrooper and Vader are going to be repacked in this wave and the following AOTC wave.

I know that there isn't much "all new" here, but I think this lineup is pretty great.  Ackbar, Wicket, and Gam. Guard were high on my resculpt want list, and I'll bet Hasbro could really do something great with these now.  I'm interested to see what they can do with this version of R2, as it could be nifty too.  I can't remember if Hasbro said if this Jedi Luke would be new/different (I thought it was), or if it was a repack of the last one.  For some reason I was thinking they said they were going for "ultimate" once again, or a few tweaks to the last version.  I'm psyched to see a general release, single carded Wedge (particularly on these vintage cardbacks), that should be nice.  Hopefully it is the X-Wing version from last year's exclusive.

I think Ackbar,Gam Guard,Wicket, and R2 will be all new sculpts.

With Luke and Endor Commando likely tweeked.

Woof will be flat out new.

Thats my guess anyway.

Wonder about Wedge and from which film we will get him?

I agree Brian. Everything on that list is a much needed re-sculpt. Though the Yoda with hover chair seems out of place unless it's just an accessory to ad Value. Wonder how they're going to handle the Wicket as well.

1x Wicket & Kneesaa (21488)

If this is true i think this may be the most exciting news since they finally announced Yarna!! Finally a Princess Kneesaa figure. I have wanted one since a little kid watching the droids and ewoks cartoons.

Another exciting list from Yak...  These seem to be the rumors that have been fairly solid too, so I can't wait to see this wave.  The Endor Rebel's my top want after Hasbro announced who it is.  I just hope he has a softgoods coat.

The rest is just gravy to me.

Should be interesting how they pull off the cardart for 2 figures and I assume they'll be stacked in the coffin.  duh.   :)

the Yoda with hover chair seems out of place

He is a "greatest hits" repack... I think he was just slipped into this wave instead of the next one (AotC) to help balance the manufacturing cost of the wave.

The gamorrean is expected to be a new mold, different sculpt

The Jedi Luke needs to come with brown cape

r2 with tray and lightsaber probably will be the same mold as votc r2 d2
in r2 d2 I expect the paintjob will be updated, lights, trims on torso, etc.

I am excited for this wave.  It looks pretty solid.  Hopefully the Wedge is new and the Luke has his vest and cloak.

Looking over the past year+ of Hasbro's Star Wars Q&A's I'm really surprised that they let as much get out about this wave as they did.  At some point almost every one of these ROTJ figures was mentioned or confirmed via the Q&A's.

The only figure on this list that really comes as a bit of a surprise is the Princess Kneesa that's packed with Wicket.  And even then, Hasbro hinted pretty heavily at a new Wicket.  I had actually been thinking that with the move to the vintage style cards that we should expect a single packed Wicket.  But this is actually something of a pleasant surprise.  But I also suspect that this might be one of the only nods to the Ewoks animated series that we might see.

As for the AT-ST Driver that was also confirmed in the Q&A process?  I get the feeling that it's bound for one of a couple of places:  an unthemed wave in 2011, or as a pack-in with a Hoth version of the AT-ST.
