Well, it was only the 6th time in 40 years that an opposing team has had two base runners at the same time, so it's not that odd.

You just made that up.

And you haven't watched a Yankee game in the last 10 years pitched by Kevin Brown, Randy Johnson, Javy Vazquez, Ian Kennedy, Jaret Wright, or Phil Hughes.

Of course I did, the difference is that it was a joke when I did it.

Former Mets GM Steve Phillips said today that he would trade Stephen Strasburg for Roy Oswalt if he were in charge of the Nationals.   :o

Just incase he had a shot at ever being a GM again....

That's possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard......... Are you sure there wasn't some context that made it remotely logical?

Haha, I think drugs being consumed before the interview is probably the context you're looking for.  Here's the article:

Even worse than Cole Hamels and his 48 ERA last night with 0.2...

Unrelated.

Why are there 6 teams in the NL Central and 4 in the AL West?

When it comes to making the playoffs, isn't that an unfair advantage for teams in the AL West?

Detroit/Cleveland. All I can say is "what the $%&*"

You CAN NOT blow that call in that historical context. Great that the ump was "sorry", but doesn't fix it. I am amazed at how classy Gallaraga handled it. I would have exploded. If it had been a Twins' pitcher I would be having a meltdown still.

You have to call him out there.

It's official, Selig is not reversing it.

The official scorer has about 5 hours to rule the infamous play an error and at least award Galarraga the no hitter.

**** Bud Selig.  He has a flowing opportunity to correct a massive mistake without hurting anything.

That's ridiculous.

If it hasn't already, this will definitely get them talking about expanding the rules for video review.
This is the way.

I have spoken.

Agreed.

Even the umpire says that he's wrong.

Maybe the next commissioner can come along and make it right... I'm blown away that Selig is such a crotchety *******.

**** Bud Selig.

I've been saying this for years.  He's a little monkeyboy for the owners.  A real commish should be independant of any outside influence.  Bud throwing up his arms at the All Star game tie was classic.  Jesse Ventura lighting him up and calling him assinine was also classic when they were talking about contracting the Twins.  This guy is a tool and has only hurt baseball.  It sucks that the ump blew the call on that perfect game, but reversing it after the game would have opened up a can of worms.  Instant replay needs to be expanded.

With all the hype around Strasburg, it'll be interesting to see how well he can pitch in the big leagues.  First opportunity soon!
