With all the hype around Strasburg, it'll be interesting to see how well he can pitch in the big leagues.  First opportunity soon!
I'd say not too shabby :P

Not shabby at all.  14 Ks is quite impressive for a debut.

Strasburg is the best thing since loafed bread was first sliced.

This is going to be a fun season to watch in the AL Central this year...

White Sox are on an 11 game win streak and have moved into a tie for 2nd place in the Central.  We're coming for you MN!

They'll fall back to earth when they stop playing the Cubs, Pirates, Nationals, and Cubs again... Although the Atlanta wins were more impressive.

They are definitely beating the teams they are supposed to be right now.  I'm just glad that they seem to have their confidence back and are putting up runs like they should have been doing all season.  And their pitching is on track again as well.  They may fade as the season progresses, but I'm enjoying the wave right now!

Strasburg.
Prior?

Wouldn't shock me.

They don't make 'em like Nolan Ryan anymore.

How bad is the White Sox bullpen right now?  Wow, that ball by Thome might still be flying!

Looks like Man-Ram is heading to the White Sox:

White Sox claim Ramirez off waivers

And Strasburg is heading to a surgical suite:

Strasburg torn ligament

At first I was thinking this was Mark Prior all over again.

Then I started thinking that some players come back from TJ surgery in 2 years throwing 2-3 mph above where they were before the surgery.

I look forward to Strasburg's 104 mph fastball.

Or maybe we have Ben Sheets or Rich Harden on our hands again.

I think more like Kerry Wood.  Came in his rookie year and missed the next after having surgery.  Granted, Wood pitched over 20 games in his first season and won the NL Rookie of the Year before he went out.  Strasburg doesn't have that to boast.  He can only say that his baseball card sold for thousands...  How bad does that guy feel right now?!
