Or he could be Chris Carpenter or Shawn Marcum.  I know the analogy doesn't quite transfer because they had full seasons before the surgery but both have come back quite well from TJ surgery.

Well, it was almost a perfect day of baseball yesterday - Rays lose and Phils win with a no-hitter by Doc.  Only blemish was the Yanks winning.

Blemish?  It's always a great day when the Yankees win.  I just with my son fit into his Yankee shirt now!

My son has a Yankees onesie too.  I use it to wipe his ass.

Go Rangers!!

I've been on board with this team for years.  I've got tickets to Game 2 of the ALCS and Game 5 of the WS should they make it that far.

I normally can't get nearly as excited for Senior League ball as the American League, but the Giants/Phillies should be excellent to watch.

I've gotta disagree on the NLCS.  I think it's going to be a snoozefest.  I think the Phillies will sweep or maybe do it in 5.  I don't see the Giants scoring many runs.

Amazing how the Yankees could come back from a 5 run deficit to win the game!  Exciting game!

Don't get me started Matt!!;)  I know you're a Yankee fan.

I'm headed out there for the game today.  So needless to say I'm hoping for a win.  Rangers need to get a split of this thing and take 2 of 3 in New York.  I've already bought tickets for WS game 5 so they need to go.

I think/thought this would be great because neither team will score much.

...or 5.

Giants win! Giants win! Giants win!

Too bad the rest of the nation, outside of California and Texas, didn't witness history. The Giants are absolutely stacked with home-grown pitching talent, plus a catcher with unlimited potential. These are kids, and they're just beginning to come into their own.

Giants are World Series Champions. A lifetime of waiting is finally at an end.

Giants Win!

Hat's off to the Giants. That was a great game to be at last night. The Giants absolutely dominated the Texas hitters and they never made the proper adjustments. The Giants fans were really, really cool to watch. They sat about three sections over and four or five rows behind and were as loud as anybody else in the stadium.

This season was success for the Rangers. Definitely not how I wanted it to end, but I'm thrilled nonetheless. I've waited 20+ years to see a real, complete team put on the field and we finally got it.

MLB Offseason 2010-2011

I guess 7 is the lucky number. Werth, Crawford and (supposedly) Lee all getting enormous 7-year deals. Crazy. Lee might be the only one worth the money, but 7 years for a pitcher is risky business. The Werth deal was the craziest. The BoSox seem a little panicky, though. The Nats just seem desperate...almost Mets-like. Can't wait for the season to see where it all leads.
