Of course, the slide itself is questionable.  But if true, the Fett promotion is a bit dull.  That might have been a good place for Admiral Ackbar, a promotion from vintage days.

I have to disagree...  Fett was actually the first mail away promotion, right before the Empire Strikes Back release.  This would be the PERFECT mail away, seeing that its the 30th anniversary of Empire!

How great would it be if it was a reproduction of the original Fett prototype with the firing rocket???  Words cannot describe!

Well sure, the Fett idea certainly has its history... but haven't we received every incarnation of modern Fett as recently as this year?  I mean, the rocket-firing idea might be a cool nod to the past, but I'd rather a mail-away get me something new and long-sought after.  I have too many Fetts as it is!

I agree...but I would still like a white Boba Fett (not McQuarrie) that was the costume's first incarnation.

The kit bashed one on the right is a little more intriguing to me

Same here, I think that would make for a pretty cool mail-away and would have a very cool nostalgia factor.

Forgive me for possibly being too young to remember, but what Fett is that  ???

That is the proto-type for the vintage Boba Fett. It is a kit bashed figure made up of a custom head,  c-3po torso, Stormtrooper arms, Death Star commander legs and a japanese robot backpack.

Like this Mike?

The recent Kubrick series had:

They haven't madeSA versions of

Pre Production Fett (middle left)
Kenner Prototype Fett
Kenner Deco Fett (bottom left)
Droids Fett (middle right)

I'm hopeful it is either one of the Kenner versions...but the all white Pre Production one would be sort of cool too

Why do I have to join that frigging site just to look at their stupid pictures? That is weak as hell.

Shareware dudes, spread the love.

I know, I registered as a forum member to see the pictures... ::) Ah, well.

And I do hope that Hasbro uses the ORIGINAL card for a mail-away Boba (not the one that was used in the VOTC 2004 with the caption on the front removed), and that the new Boba features a firing missile. Like someone said a few posts up, there's already a Boba on the pegs, which means hasbro has to do something fresh.

Since 2010 should be focusing on the anniversary of ESB, it certainly makes sense why they'd choose Fett as the mail-in.  However, I'm happy with having one concept version (from 30AC), so another doesn't really interest me personally.  A modern rocket-firing one does seem pretty cool, but would Hasbro invest in the tooling for it?

The white Fett is boring.  I was disappointed in the Kubrick version even, feeling that was a wasted spot since they were doing two all-white versions already.  We have the McQuarrie fig from 2007 in white so I'm good.

I'd like to see a real nod to the vintage figure in color and a rocket-firing option or even really do a vintage sculpt, which I doubt.  But I'd be fine with the other proto shown here or the alt paint scheme like on the vintage 12" and the Kubrick chase.

I just hope it's not something boring and any basic Fett release is boring to me since there's usually a version of him in the mix at retail.

Yep, and Fett's rifle in ESB is Vader's lightsaber minus the emitter shroud.  ;)
