This vintage re-release could be different from the vinty original if it comes with a corrected stand pose, that means
in 1978-1980 Fett stands tilted to the side. In the add his posture looks straight.

I suppose this because my vinty Fett stands tilted to the side.

Although there were two tri-logo repacks near 1985 which corrected his stand.

Really?  Are you talking the Rocket Firing vinty or the regular release?  My vintage Fetts don't seem to lean at all.   ???

I wonder what the date stamp will be. Will be very displeased if it says 2010.  :P

I would expect it to say 2009 or 2010 - why will you be displeased?

Hi JediIman I was talking of the regular release, but I established a connection with the rocket firing cause they share the same mold.

the photo of the leaned fetts is on rebelscum:

in this pic only the Boba at the center stands straight.

Hmmn...guess your eyese are better than mine because both the middle one and the one on the right look straight as an arrow to me.  The one on the left appears to be leaning, though I think it's overstated by the angle of the photo.  Regardless, I have no Fetts with a black belt on them - is this the rare karate version of Fett?  My collection sports four different color combinations of Fett and none of them lean when I stand them on a flat surface.

I'm not sure I've seen this answered anywhere; did Hasbro mention at Toy Fair if you'll need POPs from the Vintage Collection figures to mail away for Fett or will they take Saga Legends and CW POPs as well?  And, what assortments?  Only the new 2010 assortments or will the 2008-2010 CW/SL/TLC assortments also work?

   E...

I'm going to bump this question because I don't think I've seen an answer to it yet.  Do we know yet if the Fett mail-away takes UPC codes and, if so, from what assortments?  Or do the figures come packed with redemption stickers like the Indiana Jones line or previous VOTC/VTSC/VTAC figures did?

JJ and I took our best shot...

I don't have all my TF notes with me at work, but IIRC it sure sounded like only the new 2010 Vintage figures will be included in the Fett offer by using pack-in stickers and not POPs.

I think you're right Jeff, that the Vinty figures have a pack-in sticker and they're all that's included with that offer.  I wouldn't be shocked to see another Clone Wars offer later after the Vebb stuff's up.

It has not been officially confirmed/announced, but the plan as of Toy Fair was using only vintage for the vintage mail-away.  The CW and Legends POPs will be used for a different mail-away later this Fall (some kind of game mat/case and CW Clone figure, can't recall his name).

You see, I come from the "somewhat younger" Star Wars generation (I'm 15 :D). That being said, I have not one Vintage figure :( and I certainly would like to have a figure that's harkens back to the "Golden Age" of Star Wars. I really like this mail-away because it certainly stands out from all the other figures, and it's a small piece of history. So how can it be "history" (at least to me) if it says 2010 on the figure's foot? I'm pretty much looking forward to a figure that looks like you traveled back in time to the 1970s and brought this back with you.

how much would cost this Boba Fett if somebody buys it at retail (without the redemption notes)?

Will it be eligible for Saga Legends?

Now that I think about it, where will the POPs/certificate for this guy be included? The TVC plastic bubbles are too small to store the certificate. The VTSC and VTAC had the plastic clamshells to store the items.

They'll probably go old school and you'll have to cut out the POP.  Instead of a certificate, you'll have to send them a self-addressed, stamped envelope or something...maybe download a form.
This is the way.

I have spoken.

Uh... no they aren't.  You can see everything all folded up at the bottom of the bubble in the toy fair shots -

It's not my normal thoughts on protection there, no.  I may start though.

Wow, I totally did not notice those goggles! Well, hey, it is Star Wars, after all.

And good eye, I didn't catch the redemption certificate tucked away in there!
