I thought the instructions generally say no scans/copies?  Only print-outs from the site or actual forms from figures.  I could be wrong on that.  Check and old one though, to see what the rule regulations are to be sure though.  That'd be my advice.

Same with when you send in...  If it says, "Post marked between X & Y", then the rules are pretty clear.  If it just says postmarked by Y though, you're probably good to go sending them in immediately.

From the Fett Cert:

Offical Redemption Certificate must be postmarked by April 30, 2011 and received by May 8, 2011. Late requests will not be honored, acknowledged or returned.

It also says:

No copies, duplicates or other reproductions will be accepted.

For the copies/duplicates, I always assumed that they meant the UPC clippings, since they often put the certs on their website so you can print them out, I doubt they care if the cert is legit.

For the date though, I know that they haven't covered themselves with a between X date and Y date clause, but technically we're not supposed to have the product "in hand" at this point in time - so they COULD invalidate your submissions because they feel you obtained the product either from an overseas eBay auction or against their street date through a brick-and-mortar store.
