Barney - pure evil.  Large purple pedophile.  Oh sorry.  The message is fine, sharing, blah, blah blah but are you seriously trying to kill parents?

Teletubbies - what?  REally, who thought this up?  They are seriously deranged.

Caillou - if that was my kid he wouldn't be sitting down for a week.  This has got to be the worst show in the world.  The main character whines, throws tantrums and is generally disrespectful of all things and people.  Nice example.

Sesame Street - as Scott said, run by the exclusively PC crowd.  Differences don't exist in their world.

Berenstain Bears - not bad, but banal.  (me like alliteration)

Any others?

Well, ye olde concert was on Saturday, my son ahd the time of his young life.  It brought tears to my eyes to see how absolutely happy he was.  The first thing he says in the morning is usually "iggles".  No idea where it came from but he absolutely loves them

to be quite frank, I really like the Wiggles!

I find them to be entertaining and pretty talented. My 2 year-old daughter adores them and I feel they are quite tolerable when you put them up against Barney, Teletubbies and the newest creepy show, the Tweenies.

I in fact, have been considering being 'Anthony' for Halloween. Despite my desire to done a jedi costume, my daughter comes before my hobbies.

I also think their background is impressive and they have really grown and made themselves a nice little niche in the world. I guess they were all education majors and/or child psych and they had an assignment to develop some songs for children. When they did, they decided to start up the wiggles. They get paid to do silly, fun and goofy things and they are very impressive dancers if you ask me.

I want to be a Wiggle!

Well, maybe not really, but it would pay better than teaching.

My boy is 14 months old and his is into The Wiggles hard core. They've been pretty big here in the states for at least the past 2 years, if not a little longer. My brother managed to get tickets for the last show they had here in Boston and he had people he works with offering him 2 and 3 times face value for them!

Bump

Son #1 and Son #2 will be attending the show here next weekend...

Whee!

Although, I can honestly say that I think JediMAX likes Thomas the Train more, Erik on the other hand is a hard core Wiggle guy

we took my Daughter a year ago. She had a blast.  One of them was back in Australia for some ailment. (Anthony I think).  She saw them on TV the next week and proclaimed that he must be better because he is back with the group.

They seem to be real nice too.  There was an Emergency Potty Break during the show so as my wife and daughter are coming back to the seats in the outer hallway. Jeff walked by (it was when they gather roses for Dorothy) and stopped what he was doing to pose for a picture with my daughter.  Pretty neat stuff.

They were definately better than the Dora Live show we went to.

We have a conflict this time or we would be going again this year.

I fear that my son will to feel the excitement that is the Wiggles one day.  These dudes creap me and my wife out a bit.  However, if he ends up liking them its fine.

My nephew really enjoyed the wiggles when he was about 1.  Then he liked the teletubbies, and then Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine.

I got him into Spider-Man and Star Wars.  ;D
This is the way.

Don't forget to bring the roses!!!
I loved seeing the Wiggles, I would go see them again, but I don't think my son would like it as much.

Dispite the fact that we don't have cable, or direct TV, my daughter is well aware and in love with these guys. At least they're pretty reasonable for her to watch (when we're out of town,) they don't talk down to kids like certain purple dinosaurs we all know and hate.
