gijoehq.com is having a big sale too.  50% off orders over $50.  I've been buying GI Joe toys from for about 3 years and have never had any problems.  He has a lot of loose figures available.  Apparently, he is having this sale because his online store is closing.

I am thinking about getting in on the 25th Anniversary figures this summer, and starting by purchasing some older items. I am thinking about Night Ops Humvee, Scrap Iron, 5 Range Vipers, and Barrel Roll, all for $23 shipped from HTS.com. Can anyone offer their opinions on these figures, or suggest some other items on HTS.com that are worth purchasing? Thanks!

As far as the figures go, I'd get what they have except for the Medi-Viper. Definetely get your hands on those Range Vipers. They're great, as are Footloose and Barrel Roll. I have about five Range Vipers now, with three more on the way. I really like that one.

Can't say anything about the vehicles, as I don't have any yet, but I'd go ahead and get a HISS just in case. For six bucks, it's hard to go wrong.

Well I caved and picked up the 4 Comic packs from HTS. While I would have liked the HISS, I totally don't have any room for vehicles right now...

Reviews of Destro and the Baroness are up now at YoJoe.

On a side note, I got an e-mail from BBTS saying that the Joe 5 packs should arrive within a week, and be shipped out!

I'm loving the Destro but Baroness is kind of disappointing...

Wow, Destro looks really cool. The lady, not so much. I'm definately going to hold off on the stuff on sale at HTS.com, and instead wait for these new ones to come out. Now that I have seen detailed pics of the 25th Anniversary figures, I want to avoid the older Joes as they appear to look too different and crappier in comparison.

I still really like the vintage Baroness.  She was one of the better looking female figures back then and was one of my favorite Cobra villains.

This new 25th figure isn't bad but I think they could have done better on the face.  She looks to have the same type ball joint for the head that the new SW figures have and while it's great for articulation, the face sculpts suffer for it.

Looks ok.

Seems like they really wanted that chiseled look for him.

this line looks awsome. is there any figures that look like it can blend in with rebel troopers though? and do some of the ball jointed heads fit on the SW figures?>

Looks like the rumors are holding out to be true, the latest preorders from online shops show that the next wave of singles will consist of:

Beachhead
Buzzer
Lady Jaye
Cobra Trooper
Serpentor

I've also read that the two five packs might start shipping in the next week or so, but we'll see.  I got an e-mail from BBTS saying that they expected them in the next "1 to 6 days", and I got that last Friday.
