Huh, go figure.  As far as I'm concerned, they don't exist.  Though I wouldn't be all that surprised to find a thousand of them stacked in a warehouse somewhere.  I can't imagine they ran the machines to make only 12 of them ::)  And the guys story on ebay there about Hasbro taking over.  Yeah, the license.  Yeesh.

Checked TRU today and no variants of Emma to be found.

I see there is a preorder up at TRU.com for the "variant" Emma Frost, which says it arrives 3/25.  I've passed on the regular Emma, but part of me wouldn't mind having a complete "Astonishing" team eventually, and maybe this variant would be a better option.  Maybe it won't look as crappy clear ;).

I don't get it - when was Emma Frost ever clear?  Is this her "Astral Projection?"  I'm not a monthly X-men reader, but she seems to be full color even when she goes into someone's head.  The clear variants work for me on heroes like Vision, Kitty Pryde, Invisible Woman, but this doesn't make sense.  Can we get a clear version of Hulk next?   :P

I'm not overly familiar with Emma Frost either, just reading a little more of her recently in Astonishing X-Men, but I believe she can turn into "diamond form" which makes her body clear and diamond-like.  Not sure if she's always had that power, or if it was somewhat recently, but I thought I read at one time it was a secondary mutation type of thing that came about later on.  I probably don't know what I'm talking about :P, but I know that she changed to that diamond form in some comic I read.

I'll pass.  This is going to be like $15-20 for one of the cheapest figures Hasbro can make.  :P

Thanks for sharing.  I'm a little more impressed with these press photos, but still not sure if I'm going to get any of them.  Maybe just the black knight.   :-\

Local MN TRU has the Diamond Emma Frost and the 25th Anniversary Silver Wolverine.

And those Marvel Super Hero Squad multi packs. Maybe worth grabbing since it has the now deceased Cap. America in it.

Thanks for the tip Jayson. I was able to snag 1 of each.

Brent do you want me to get them for you as well and I can see if Jeff will add them to the other stuff he is baby sitting for you?
I have been told to go to hell; well at least I will know everyone there!
