I held off on buying all of the Vintage 3-pack, but finally picked them up on clearance.

I went to a Walmart I typically dont visit often because they never have anything interesting. This time around, they had nothing both vintage Qui-gon and Obiwan (TPM & ATOC) versions and a vintage battle droid. The only movie heros figures they had were again Qui-gon, Obiwan and battle droid. No clone wars found. It was like a dumping ground for these three figures. I don't understand how vintage Qui-gon and Obiwan can be a dollar more than the MH version which is exactly the same figure.

I held off on buying all of the Vintage 3-pack, but finally picked them up on clearance.

My Targets actually accepted the BOGO coupons while buying the vintage 3 packs on clearance, let me use the coupons to get a free Wave 10 Vintage figure.  4 figures for $10.

Amazing how 3 weeks ago the topic was price hikes.  I've gotten some of the cheapest figures in years since then between the TRU sale and the pile of BOGO coupons I used.

Thanks for the fix JJ!

Discovered the Force again big time later in the evening, persistence paid off:
x1 Aurra Sing (2 total)
x4 Gungan (5 total)
x4 Naboo Pilot (5 total)
x2 Ric Olie
x1 Destroyer with recolored shield (2 total)
x2 Vulture Droids

I might grab two more Destroyers if I see them but dropped enough loot for one day on SW figures. I also want a few more pilots and gungans but it sounds like we will have more shots at them. It's nice to be finished with box stroes for awhile....

I know it's not Vintage, but I went a little crazy with the Discover the Force stuff...

4x Aurra Sing
4x Ric Olie
6x Naboo Pilot (one was for a friend)
5x Gungan
3x Mawhonic
5x G8-R3
3x Destroyer Droid
2x Tusken Raider
1x Obi-Wan
1x Qui-Gon
1x Yoda
1x Darth Maul
2x Naboo Royal Starship Droids
2x Mos Espa Battle Pack

One whole set of 12 is to keep MOC. I wanted to have four Gungans and Naboo Pilots open. I'll expand those squads when they are re-released as Vintage figures. I went overboard on Ric and G8 since I know they are being left out when the other four are re-released on Vintage cardbacks.

The Aurra Sing figure is fantastic, my favorite version of her, I don't even miss the ankle joints.

The cool thing I noticed was that the Naboo Pilot comes with the helmet with the goggles up, while Ric Olie comes with the helmet with the goggles down. So needless to say, among all eight of those figures that I open there will be some swapping going on.

Happy to have the DTF stuff out of the way, which means for now, I'm all caught up until the second 2012 waves of Movie Heroes, Clone Wars, Assault Vehicles, Strike Vehicles and Vintage all start to hit...

Found just a little bit of the DTF stuff at our WM today, picked up Ric Olie and the Gungan Warrior (they also had Maul, Obi-Wan, Destroyer Droid, and some of the other older figures).  Still on the lookout for Aurra Sing, the Pilot, the astrodroid, and Mawhonic.  I did also get the Naboo starship droids set, so I'm a little closer to being caught up now.

Thought about buying multiple figs but I couldn't do it...  That Naboo Pilot is pretty sweet and highly generic though.

Mawhonic's comically short stature really needs to be seen to be appreciated as well.

And those flags are cheap as hell.

I gots a hankerin' for some Naboo pilots.  May try hitting up the WM I got the DTF figures at and snag some extra army builders while I have $ and an ounce of caring about the line.

I don't know how you resisted them in the first place.  They're perfect.

BTW - perfect head swaps with the RFT, Naboo Royal Guard and Scramble on Yavin ground Crew with zero modifications needed.  Others too I'm sure - haven't tried Hoth Rebel or Endor Rebel yet.

There's a guy on Rebelscum who put together a master list of whose head swap with whom.
