Was at an out of the way Target this afternoon and found that they had the Vintage Class II vehicles for 50% off. They also had clearances on a LOT of other stuff, from many different lines. Pretty much everything except for basic figures, things like those mini-blasters, masks, Transformers crossovers, etc. Another Target did not have these same clearances, so be on the lookout I guess!

Yeah none here, but that's nice...  I'd probably nab a few things on 50% off sales.

I ALMOST snagged the two Vintage Class IIs they had (V-19 and Obi's fighter) but I have no room for them and no desire to own them really... I probably would have snagged two AATs if those vehicles were on clearance

Entertainment Earth Buy 1 Get 2nd 25% Off Sale

It's a good time to maybe pick up some items you were holding off on.  Especially since good sales seem hard to find these days.

Alright, this isn't technically Vintage, but the Slave-1 pack is on sale at tru.com for $79.

Interesting to compare to price between EE and BBTS on the same case. BBTS is $10 cheaper. I think HTS is $3 less than BBTS. I wonder why EE charges so much for a case? Is it because they need to pay Adam? <jk>  ;)

EE does a lot of coupons and free shipping codes and that sort of thing, I am guessing that might have something to do with it?

I'm pretty sure because they have three times the overhead as BBTS. EE is a huge operation with a huge warehouse and 40-50 employees.

Now, if they could tell you which version of Kithaba or Evazan you'd be ordering.

I'll be happy if these do make it to "in Stock." At least I'll be able to finish off wave 4.

It seems waves 2 and 3 went up between last night and this morning with a lot selling out already.  :(

You would assume they would be more efficient and would pass the saving on to you. Walmart is big but their prices are always lower than other retail. How come a guy running a comic book shop can sell cases cheaper than someone with ten times the employees? You would think that since EE is bigger they would get discounts from Hasbro that BBTS doesn't.

That they do. They supposedly get the best price on cases on the planet. And, their wholesale discount is laughably small.

Now that the SDCC discount has expired, are there any other promos at HTS?

You would assume they would be more efficient and would pass the saving on to you.

I would assume they don't pass those savings onto YOU, the buyer, because they are passing them onto US, your favorite fansites. ;)

Seriously, sales commissions at EE can reach up to 15% if you send them enough volume.  It's easily one of the best commission sponsorship deals out there for fansites to help pay down thier costs.

So, think of it this way - if you're buying a case from EE, you may be spending $10 more than buying from BBTS, but $10-20 of your purchase (depending on our monthly volume) is coming back here to help us pay the bills, send people to cover shows, and offer up the occasional kick-ass give-away.

[/end friendly sponsorship reminder ;)]
