Anybody have a handle on what figures the "real" Vintage ESB three-packs held? I haven't looked at them in years, but these line-ups seem really familiar? If they match up I give Hasbro mondo props for doing it right. If not, well, then I could see a whole bunch of other ways they could have taken these sets.

Agree with all of the people that would rather of seen tweaks. Cool for those late to the party and kids to pick up Lando, FX-7 and the Imperials. Easy Pass

These are all easy passes for me. No doubt good deals for the holidays. But I've got these figures, so why buy them again? I"m not a carded collector, so it won't make sense for me to get them.

If anyone gets these to open and wants to unload the Lando for cheap hit me up. He is one of the very few I do not have in my collection yet.

A rumor is starting to circulate that the Bespin Guard in the 9-pack may not be Utris M'toc as shown in the packaged version at C5. And it may in fact be an homage to the original vintage Bespin Guard with the mustache.
But, there are plenty of photos of the back of the package which show Utris M'toc there, too. Is it possible the package was only a mockup? Certainly. But sticking one retooled figure in with another 8 reissues is sure to be unpopular with the core collecting audience.

If they do a Bespin variant, but find a way for this to retail for $50, I can live with that. I can use the extras for customs, dioramas, etc.
But if it's more than that, I'll pass or wait for the set to hit clearance.

Genius move on Hasbro's part. I'll hate them for it, but genius none the less. If it were true of course. I'll bet it's not.

The Bespin Guard variants are definitely welcome. But I really hope this isn't a strategy that Hasbro might employ in order to get people to buy the 9-pack. As for the validity of the rumor? I'm not feeling all that secure with the source that passed it onto me. But it's definitely bound to be fodder for discussion.

Hmm. I recall DePriest saying on a couple occasions that this would contain repacks (ie nothing new).
Time will tell I guess.

I am in if that's the case. At least there are enough army builders and the new Bespin Luke to make it tolerable. If they slapped in the Beadless Hoth Trooper, gave Lando SA arms/new head and had the Foomanchoo Guard they would have a blow out on their hands. I am sure what we see is what we are getting. From what I read they confirmed at C5 they were straight repacks.
If there is one new figure I will bite but man I can see the repack returns will be high. I am expecting that on the Hoth sets with the AT-ST driver and beardless Rebel.

When is this suppossed to hit? This would actually make a great Christmas gift - I wouldn't be surprised if it is released around late November/early December.

This packs suggest potj fx7 is the last evolution of the character up to these days.
Perhaps Hasbro could have release a battle pack of these 3 imperials: at at driver, tie fighter and snowtrooper.

If I'm not mistaken, these are based off of the vintage combinations which would not include that particular imperial combination. Too bad.
