Yeah, I don't get all the Clones included here either with the AOTC 3D release on its way next year.  I'd just as soon they hold those off for then as well.  Honestly, I know they can improve little things on some of the figures, but overall I'm fairly satisfied with my clonetroopers at this point.

I don't get why we haven't seen a Chewie here either.  Putting the EB Chewie on a vintage card would be pretty cool, and easy for Hasbro.  Honestly, although people generally don't like repacks, if they had to put a wave out there later in the year (similar to the "Death Star" wave that hit retail) made up primarily of repacks - I wouldn't mind if they did an "Original 12" wave, with the new vintage cardbacks (front and backs, like the TPM wave) and included repacks from the VOTC/VTSC/etc. waves with maybe a couple of new figures (a new ANH Leia, for example).  I'd be ok with that, and it would get some nice figures (EB Chewie, VOTC Han, Resurgence Luke/R2, etc.) out there again.

If my memory serves me correct, there were a lot of assortments of TVC Wave 3 too... I seem to recall something like 5 or more assortments of that wave listed at EE... I guess each assortment is limited for a wave, and all the assortments together equal about the volume of a regular wave with just one assorment... I could be way off on that though.

For the EPIII Clone, I'd be happy with the VC #45 body, with a NEWLY sculpted Phase II helmet, something not so big and bulky as the removable helmets Hasbro has given the "grunts" in the past.  They really NEED to do that... it's pretty lame they haven't yet.

For the Sandtooper, I hope it's a dirty variation of the previous one, with paint applied like on this version.

I think there were 10+ revisions of wave 3 in TVC.  But I am pretty sure that was mostly due to the Wedge delay and Hasbro recarding Yoda

Odd that previous confirmation of Yakface or ReeYees is nowhere to be found...especially in that ROTJ heavy resculpt-a-palooza

Another thing to note is that a bunch of the stuff in those lists are essentially duplicate case packs - like this one:

374994841
269664840 SW EPI QUI-GON
375094840 SW EPI DARTH MAUL
269684840 SW EP1 OBI-WAN
307874840 SW EPI BATTLE DROID
307914840 SW EPI DARTH SIDIOUS
375004840 SW EP1 ANAKIN
375034840 SW EP1 NABOO ROYAL GUARD
375074840 SW CW ANAKIN SKYWALKER
375084840 SW EPIV DARTH VADER
375104840 SW EPIV IMPERIAL NAVY COMMANDER
375114840 SW EPV LUKE
375134840 SW EU DARTH MALGUS

and this one:
374997381
269667380 SW EPI QUI-GON
375097380 SW EPI DARTH MAUL
269687380 SW EP1 OBI-WAN
307877380 SW EPI BATTLE DROID
307917380 SW EPI DARTH SIDIOUS
375007380 SW EP1 ANAKIN
375037380 SW EP1 NABOO ROYAL GUARD
375077380 SW CW ANAKIN SKYWALKER
375087380 SW EPIV DARTH VADER
375107380 SW EPIV IMPERIAL NAVY COMMANDER
375117380 SW EPV LUKE
375137380 SW EU DARTH MALGUS

Same case pack, but one has 4840 ending, the other has 7380 ending numbers.  Since the list came from Hasbro UK source, I suppose there could be some doubling up - maybe some are US/english card assortments while others are "tri-logo"/EU style cardback assortments?  That would explain the doubles in the list...

I sure hope so despite it's problems this line is top notch. And as history repeats itself the mainline of SW always comes out on top. If the line up holds these will do well. I think the EP3 cloneTrooper will be the Shocktrooper using the VC45 buck like the 501st. I can also see the sandtrooper upgraded with dirt and the remote controlled 97 SE droid.

Before this line ends they need to do the 12 backs  :)  and a Stormtrooper Han Solo on the TVC card.

Agreed.  Definitely would like to see the Stormtrooper Han released on the Vintage cards, even if it was just a re-release of the previous one they did a couple years ago.

If I recall, Hasbro said they were getting away from "plain" and going with more colorful clones in the future...  I think that ROTS Trooper will then be one of the specific units from the films, and the Sandtrooper I'd suspect will have a bit of a deco improvement too.

Like Jeff, I'll take a "Sandtrooper" over a regular Stormtrooper anyday...  I stocked up heavy in 2007 because they were really versatile basic Imperial grunts.  That's cool by me, and with the Sandtrooper you almost always get some cool extra guns like the big Lewis Gun rifle, or the MG34 rifle, or last year's MG32...  I like that and a nice basic E11.  All of the above and an E11 would be nice too though. ;D

I'm wondering how well 2012's list jives with the "rumors" that sprang out of an ass here or there though?  Or are we going to cling to that Tarkin as a "See, I called that!" moment?  :D

I can't recall that off-hand.  Then again I probably would've missed it anyway.  ::)

Courtesy of someone at RS:

There was a bit of discussion back then on whether that was really Bespin Leia gown material or just a coincidence.  Then, the Nov 2010 Q&A confirmed that both Bespin Gown Leia and Bespin Escape Leia were in the works... I think it was at SSG or something, can't find the linky. :(

I guess I can see them going either way.  Bespin Gown Leia would be a nice partner to the 2010 Luke and 2011 Han upgrades and tick another Kenner recard off the list.  Bespin Escape Leia could re-use parts from that 2010 Hoth Leia for an easy kit-bash (like they did with Dagobah Landing Luke) and would be a welcome upgrade over the 2001 PotJ version.

I'm hoping for Bespin Leia...with an easy Kitbash headswap to a Bespin Escape Leia on an Extra Hoth Leia I bought :P
