No news, hopefully soon.  I could see this coming in late Summer though, like maybe late August or September.

Thanks bud! I hope I have two gaping holes in my cantina with the good Dr. and Ponda (I know Ponda is fall.). I also sold all of my 501's to make room for the new style.

So, the million dollar question now becomes... what happened to this wave?  ???

It's obvious from the EE and BBTS case pre-orders that both the Wave 9.5 "Revenge" revision cases (now listed as Wave 8 ) AND the main Wave 9 case (still Wave 9) have leapfrogged this one in the release order.

Makes you wonder if this one will end up being "Wave 10" or if it will get pushed back farther, maybe even into 2012?  :-\

This is why the whole "reboot" of the line being discussed in the other thread is swirling around in my head even more.  This could be a part of something Hasbro's trying to do, to better the line overall in the long run.

Or I'm trying to be a glass half-full kind of guy for the first time maybe, I dunno.

The little card-thing in front of Ponda Baba at SDCC indicates August or September, I think. I would imagine the rest of this wave hits in between that time frame.

It sounds like we might be waiting a while longer for this wave... from the Q&A at JTA

"Hasbro: As we also mention elsewhere in this month's Q&A, some Vintage figures planned for 2011 were moved to 2012.  We will share full details on this change and the affected figures at San Diego Comic-Con.."

Happy to see this wave finally locked into the schedule again, hopefully it stays put this time because I'm really looking forward to the good Doctor and Kithaba. :)

Also nice to see Wedge land in this wave since I never saw any signs of him last time around...

Any word on whether the Wedge is the same package or something new?

So glad I took a gamble and got a "non mint" VC28 from EE a few months back. Now I can just skip this re-release or just use this opportunity to get one to open.

Dang, that 501st trooper looks pretty spiffy in those Hasbro displays at NY Toy Fair...

That's cool and almost compelling to own them just for the cardbacks but yeah, if I can nab them at WM first I think I'll do so and skip their Vintage counterparts.

I think Wedge is the only figure I'm going to be kind of desperate to get just for its card.

true, but then there is the comfort of ordering the entire case here, skipping the WM versions, and then I believe only really needing to try and unload (via Target exchange) the Qui-Gon

another good point...  Might be way easier to do that, just wait on getting the figures ultimately, and also get the cards.

yeah - I really might look at going the case route.  I will probably still pick up the WM exclusive figures when I see them and not open them and hold on to the receipt just to be safe of not losing out on the figures - WM receipt is good for 3 months.  Then, when and if this case comes true, pre-order it and take the exclusives back.
