While I understand the concerns about getting these, IJ is nowhere near as popular as SW.  Even a casual  collector might pass on this because the characters are kind of obscure.  I mean, who besides us wants Satipo?

Yakface says this is going to have similar packaging to that ridiculous Revenge of the Jedi Death Star packaging. I'd rather the set have "normal" multipack packaging since I'm sure it will be pretty expensive in the first place.

Regardless, it's good to finally be getting these.

I'll be curious to see this ultimate Indy.  I'm a little bummed Dietrich will never have a figure though short of new films.

There's a lot of characters still in need from the Indy films.  The ultimate Indy is interesting though and it makes sense to have the man himself in the boxed set.  I'll be glad to get all these figures though.  Satipo's a hair out of place at this point but gladly accepted.  IF they're not too outrageous I'd gladly buy a 2nd set.

And I can't laugh hard enough at the ******* that paid through the nose for the test shots of these that leaked out and gloated how he did it in part to keep people from getting the Test Shots and reproducing them for others to enjoy.  Man, there's just one big ,,|,, from Hasbro.

Anyone have an extra crystal skeleton?  I never did mail away for it (d'oh!) and then kind of lost interest when the line died, but now I'm interested again.   :-\

Customizers.

A lot of Indy product was bought by people for that reason. Not enough, obviously.

The series seems incomplete without a non-ceremonial Belloq and Donovan.

Oh I went ape**** buying custom fodder from Indy when the line hit clearance.  I even started feeling bad when i'd see an RPG Indy or those last two Belloq's for like $2 hanging around Wal-Mart and I wound up buying them.  The Belloq's are less useful but the Indy's are so generic...

You can do a streets of Cairo Indy using that figure, and it won't suck a nut compared to the whipping figure.  I used some to make "Terrorist" guys (inspired by Fritzkrieg's stuff) for my modern US figures to F up.  It's also a decent base for World War 2 figures as the pants and shirt are obviously generic.  It works ok for custom Star Wars stuff too...  Again, due to generic-ness.

The Indy line was a customizing godsend ultimately.  Satipo I'd like a few of really, for that reason.

And yes Scott, that's prime stuff to put out if a new movie hits.  It's not got the depth Star Wars does, but it's got depth still for sure.  I'm sure I could add characters to those lists too.  I'd love to get the U-Boat Captain from Raiders (obscure?  So is the big-headed pink alien chick from ANH), German Camera Crew  Summer Teeth Frying Pan Victim from Cairo, a Monkey Man with Bike, the old wise man who helped decipher the headpiece, German Desert Bikers & Bike w/sidecar, German Truck Fighter, German Flying Wing Pilot, Professor Indy...  I basically dream of a new movie just in the hopes of some of the above getting made.  :P

Brent, PM me your addy.  I think I have one around.

I'm glad they're finding a way to make these available, I just hope the price isn't insane and they are available online for a reasonable price... and that they have decent paint jobs on the eyes!

They definitely screwed up the line royally the first time around, hopefully if it ever makes a comeback they will have learned from their mistakes.

It makes me a little curious why this could not be co-opted like the Star Tours stuff is at the Disney Parks.  I see all the stuff they have (some very detailed and articulated) there, it would seem like they could just stick these figures (along with the Indy's and Mutts).

They make some pretty obscure Disney figures, I'm just sayin.

The 6th figure is a "best of" Ultimate Indy.  Basically their best regular Indy sculpt with a pile of accessories from the 4 movies.  He wasn't set yet, but they were talking Idol, Crystal Skull, Holy Grail, whip, gun, sword, etc.  Derryl also confirmed for me that they plan to have both Toht heads in the set still.

If I remember right, they said that it was going to have a brand new head sculpt as well.  I was under the impression that it was a kit-bash of sorts with the new head.

Yeah I read or heard that too...  The head is supposed to be the best Ford Likeness Ever or something.

I was planning this exact concept...  Ultimate Indy, tons of gear.  You can't do everything since he goes from a ripped shirt to a necktie and so on.  You'd have to have interchangeable bodies and whatnot to do a true "ultimate", but it's a neat idea and you really do have to have the man in the set.  How could you not ya know?  So they are giving something "new" in it too.  That's pretty slick.

Right now I'd like 2 sets.  3 would be even better if the price is more towards fair.  I wonder how many they're cranking out.  This is a full wave of figures.  I'm thinking they won't slight production here.

I tried to do an Ultimate out my own parts back when this line had legs (or a leg, it was doomed from the beginning)...

The adequate head and hat was the problem.
