One of the few vehicles I'm excited about. I haven't bought anything vehicle wise since the Octupara Droid.

Boxed and loose images at Jedi Temple Archives

They added a few nice play features to it.

Is that the Clone Tank Gunner they have manning it?

Pretty cool, nice that they added the tank feature, because this has the potential to be a little boring.

Nothing else new pictured on the back photos, so it must be this and then the Mando Gunship as far as midsize stuff goes for 2011.

I took a few pics of this last night, it is surprisingly cool. A lot of fun here with the posable legs, flip out wheels and gunner station. I think it is going to do pretty well at retail.

Looks great Jayson!  And what's cool about this is that it works for Clone Wars as well as the realistic figures.  It sure looks like the cannon from ROTS

Jayson, did you find this at a brick and mortar reatil outlet? Which one?

I think I saw another report on RS last night that someone had found this, but I've not seen it anywhere yet.

Found it at TRU today.  IMO it is so underscaled that it ruins the toy.

It is about 50% too small but I imagine the Republic would have different cannons (AV-2, AV-3, AV-5, AV-7) depending on the theatre of battle and have scaleability of their design in mind.

Different sizes of artillery is quite plausible Jayson...  Take a look at the military, especially look at WW2...  The variety is staggering, as the need for variety changed as the war progressed.  WW1 as well...  Artillery isn't the same today, but one could imagine a fictional war like in SW, artillery differences are likely.

I'll readily admit I'm happy to rationalize it though, to like the toy better. ;D

It is grossly underscaled compared to what it's based on though DR, your'e right.  Some customizing might make it more plausible as an anti-tank type weapon like a PAK from WW2...  I think it has potential for sure, but for my tastes it may take a little customization for me to finally be totally happy with it.

It's like the AT-AP...  Some of the features are scaled down on it, and those just look bad.

The AV-7 is definitely under-scaled, but I prefer that to a $50+ to-scale piece. (or the gun not being made at all) Plus the $25ish price point makes it reasonable to pick up four of these bad boys. I like Jayson's explanation about the different models, similar to the Tri-/Octuptarra Droids.

Found this at a central MO Walmart.  Only 1, and it didn't ring up at the register.  So the cashier punched in $19.99 just to get me through the line.

Nice.  I always appreciate when they just say "F it" and put in whatever to get you out of their hair.

Found this at Wal-mart today under a wall full of pegwamers, some in damaged packaging. I am guessing this store will never get new product.
Have yet to open it. The boy will find it under the tree on Sunday.
