It's like the Fleet Trooper to me...  The POTJ one was visually ok, but that's it, more or less.

Skiff Lando was a pretty figure, and neutral which was nice (for the time especially), but at this point I want one that actually can be posed to look like he's fighting, or standing around in the palace revealing himself for no reason, or whatever.

There's a ton of figures like this...  From Cantina aliens to army builers.  Nice to look at, but kind of meh for being an "action figure".  Major articulation upgrades of older figures almost always have me happy, unless it's something bland in the first place like a Senator or something.  I could easily live without a new Chancellor Valorrum for instance, and even Senate Palpy isn't high on my list.

Exactly. There are a lot of figures I'd like to see (like finishing off the Imperial Dignitaries), but they don't do too much in the movies but stand around, so I'd be happy if Hasbro would make them with limited articulation to fit in with the other 2. Or the dress Padmes.

That MTT answer was awfully non-committal.  That would be awesome if we saw that next year.

Awesome! That would really be the only way to display those rubbery battledroids effectively.  ::)

I do like the idea of the MTT, and I thought it was awesome in the movie. I just hate the rubberiness of the battledroids. And I don't see it changing with the new sculpt.

The more I look at the pictures, I'm sort of excited for next year.  The past couple years I've been more interested in the OT stuff (well, that's always been the case I guess), and haven't been nearly as excited about PT stuff for the most part (although we've gotten some nice stuff).  I've still been picking much of everything, but I have to say that I'm starting to get a little excited about the TPM release and retail push.  As long as it isn't too overdone, and the figure quality stays as high as it looks in these pics, it could be a nice run.  I do hope we see the return of some more OT figures next year (outside of the cutscene ones, which look great), and really hope we'll see that new Hoth Luke sometime.

As far as the rest of 2011, it might be on the lighter side.  Like Jesse mentioned somewhere here, it might be kind of nice not having as much to chase.  I don't think I'll be going after all the "Revenge" recarded stuff, so outside of a handful of figures and the Landspeeder and Taun Taun exclusives, that might be almost it for 2011 - barring any surprises at NYCC.  It would be kind of nice to not have to spend all that money right before Christmas once :).  I am wondering if we'll see a "gap" next year as well like we have in previous years.  We'll have the big TPM push at the beginning, then the summer brings Avengers, Amazing Spidey, and GI Joe for Hasbro, so I wonder if we'll have a break until Fall-ish again or not?

And with the movie, people are only starting to warm up to Jar Jar some 10+ years later.

If this is the buzz created for TPM for the 3D release, I'm pretty hyped for the next couple of years for each movie re-release. Each SDCC should be pretty exciting.

However, I'm really disappointed by the lack of figures Hasbro put up for display. They put up figures we all knew were coming. I'm glad they did put up the 2012 TPM figures, but they didn't even put up the whole wave. I'd say I'm looking forward more to NYCC now.

I must admit...I call my two boys "boyos" all the time.

Anyway, WTF?  Four new vintage figs the rest of the year?  (Ponda, Hoth Rebel, B-Wing Pilot and the EU girl)

Wow.  That flat out sucks.  Hey Hasbro, I have money and I want to spend it!!

On the other hand, the TPM figures look awesome.  Hopefully they will show up by the holidays.

I'll be at NYCC, so I'll go to the panel and see whats up.---Mike.

I'll make it even worse for you I think...  The B-Winger isn't new.  Unless I missed something on that.

He's the Keyan Farlander B-Wing figure from the Evolutions sets.

NYCC, that'd be fun to attend.
