Wish it had Sebulba at least

Yeah, the fact that Pod Pilot Ani and Sebulba are missing must mean either they are coming single-carded or they may possibly be packing them in with re-releases of their pod racers.  Guess we'll get more at NYCC...

I'm not missing Sebulba in this set.  I think he's one character that could stand to be revisited, especially with the current state of figure articulation and how it could be applied to a Dug.  And a new pod race Anakin with modern articulation & sculpting would be a fairly welcome, too.

I'm kind of glad this set is all reissues.  I can skip this set since I got all of these as basic figures.  And considering that there are only a few more pod racers that have yet to be made into figures, I'd rather see a set like this which is ALL reissues and not a mixture of old & new.  That kind of lineup leaves the collector feeling used when you have to buy a multi-pack in order to get 1 or 2 new figures.

And on the general subject of pod racers, there are only another three or four that have yet to be made.  I think that those can get spaced out over time.  As for the pod race vehicles, I agree that it's generally a losing proposition.  MAYBE Anakin and Sebulba's pods could get reissued/retooled, but I don't know that there is an overwhelming desire to get them back into rotation in the vehicle line.

There are still seven of them. They have now done all the ones that are clearly visibly in the movie. Ark "Bumpy" Roose and Elan Mak are featured in the deleted scene. Then there Aldar Beedo, Boles Roor, Ebe Endocott, Neva Kee, and Wan Sandage who are only seen from a distance during the race.

Agreed, thanks Jayson.  For the man who wants flags, but not more ****** podracers.

Time to pick up some drink stirrers.

Time to pick up some drink stirrers.

The question is, do you buy them in bulk from the grocery store, or do it the fun way -- one at a time at the pub?  ;D

With the way this line looks, I would say one at a time at the pub.

Hmmm...  hadn't thought of it that way.

Has anyone seen any decent pictures of this set compared to the original releases of the figures?  I'm curious as to how heavily repainted they might be.

No.  I saw the pack in the store today and the colors looked like they were on the vivid side.  I was just a little irked that they've included these pod race flags now in an effort to get people to buy these figures over again.

Perfect, thanks Jeff (and Jason).

I had the same initial impression as Nick, thinking they were more vibrant, but looking at his photos I think that the only one with any significant change (and barely at that) is this one:

Damnit, they had to make those flags.  Now I have to go get all the podracers.

I'm just downloading the ones Yakface put up.  They'll suffice.  I wanted teh flags too but I cannot justify the purchase of the sets for the flags.  I just can't.
