Another Hasbro SDCC exclusive  - Hellicarrier with Maria Hill

artworks might also suggest a new Goliath coming and also Whirlwind.  I expected Whirlwind at some point since he has been shown of on the cartoon a couple of episodes.

They should do the same thing with a Death Star...

Out of curiosity, how big was the GI Joe aircraft carrier?  It sure seemed a lot bigger than this.  I think its funny that Hasbro wants to include all these gadgets and whirlidos...this would sell better if it was just a big old a 40" brick with 4 turbines and a few windows and doors.

I think the Joe FLAGG was 7' long when fully assembled.  The Hellicarrier shipping to retail is about 3' long but this one has an extra foot, mostly between the turbines.

Since the deck looks different, I'm wondering if this version is one Hasbro did first and then decided that size and price would be too much for regular retail to buy into so they shortened it and now they're putting this out since it was already built?  Don't know, seems odd that they'd make that type of change to a toy just to release it as an exclusive.  Based just on colors, though, I like this one a little better.  But, I'll be passing.

Grabbed the 6" Cap today. Was disappointed that the shield didn't have a plastic clip to attach to Cap's arm ala the ML versions, instead having those weird straps. Really ruins an otherwise decent offering.

Now I doubt I'll grab the rest of the 6"ers, not only because all my WM has left are four Iron Men, but because I'm pretty disappointed in how this one turned out.

Justin, from HunterPR, posted a photo of Joe with the new "S.H.I.E.L.D. Super Helicarrier," as it's called.  It's F'en HUGE.

Super Helicarrier

I would not want to buy that at the show and have to lug it around...or have to ship it home.  Where would you come up with a box for it even?  You'd probably have to go to a specialty shipping company or UPS, maybe.  Unless Hasbro sells it in a box suitable for shipping, you aren't going to find something big enough at USPS.  And it's not fitting in any luggage I've ever seen.

Nice.

I'd love to hear the story behind this; how did Hasbro end up with a larger version, why SDCC vs retail, why it's (possibly) the only way to get Agent Hill....

Wonder if they'll answer any of those questions at the Con.  Someone corner the MU/Avengers team and ask them!

Nobody seems to want those Skrull figures...why didn't they make any Chitauri?

Yeah, the Skrulls have definitely been lingering.  The best thing they tell you is that if they're at a store, you know that store has gotten recent Avengers shipments with the Black Widow and Hawkeye.  I've been able to get Hawkeye, but the Black Widow is definitely elusive.

I've also noticed that Cap and the Hulk seem to be selling reasonably well.  But that concept Iron Man with the black armor?  Oh boy, is that a pegwarmer!

There are 2 of them that should hopefully be out soon.

I hit Wal-Marts, Targets, TRU pretty much 5 days a week and haven't seen a single Skrull... doesn't look like anything past the first two waves has shipped to the STL area one bit yet.

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but the next wave of Avengers figures has 2x Hawkeye, 1x Black Widow, 2x Movie Villain (presumably the carded Chitauri), 2x Nick Fury and 2x SA Iron Man Mark VII

Hopefully that means getting a Chitauri and a Nick Fury will be a bit easier than it was tracking down a Black Widow.
