Spielberg
« on: December 21, 2011, 05:23 PM »
With not one but two movies coming out in the next week it's time for his own thread...excited to see both Tintin and War Horse, both are getting glowing reviews.  More excited to see War Horse, love the era, sounds like a good story...excited? Favorite Spielberg movie?  Talk about it all here

I want to see Warhorse too, mostly for the era as well...  But doubt I do. :(  I just never see movies anymore till they're on HBO or something.

So is War Horse the same as the musical?

Yeah, but I've heard there's a few differences of course.

We just got back from Tintin...really awesome animation and 3D...good story, didn't like the middle third a whole lot but it ended and started well.  For the first time in my entire life, we were the only people in the theater.

Obviously set up for sequels, I guess we'll see how this one does

It already did like a quarter billion international.  Even if it's an absolute flop in the US a sequel is pretty much guaranteed.  This was a film they made expecting its strength to be Europe.
