Ugh.  Good lord.

No kidding.  I feel for those trying to keep complete on these.  I'll try to build a couple the next time we hit Disney (whenever that is  ::)) otherwise I think I'm good missing out on them at this point.   :-\

That must be the wave 3 the cast member was talking about. Where is this picture?

That photo they show of parts is at Disney Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. I hate it when people call that place Disneyland. It's insulting to Disneyland and Walt Disney himself!!!  ;)

Afterwards someone posted that it couldn't have been Disneyland because the counter should have been gray not brown. Good eye!

Unfortunately my friend is there, but it's hectic.  And now the Wave 3 ones are out?  Ugh.

I want those orange astromechs BAD!  Love the deco.

And Ahsoka's droid too.

Wish I could go, but just not in the budget these days for a big vacation like that, but man SWW looks fun even without the droids.

Anyone seen a nice, comprehensive list of the new parts/colors.  I can't really tell what all is new from that little pic further back in this thread...  I'd like to know whats out there before I go hassling Paul with requests.  ;)

I was working on one...  It's a fair bit it you squeeze wave 2 and 3 into one wave.  Basically as much new as wave 1 had.  That powder blue R7 or whatever it is has no matching body.  Weird.

Some I'd put in the "just enough difference to make you mad" column from some parts in wave 1 also.

I love the orange parts and the white r2 w/red details dome.

A "plain" (more or less) R3 is highly appreciated too.

I believe this is the list - like Jesse said, when you combine "Wave 2" and "Wave 3" you get pretty much the same number of parts as Wave 1 from three years ago...

Domes
1. White R2 with yellow trim (wave 2)
2. White R2 with red trim
3. Silver R2 with blue trim (wave 2)
4. Silver R2 with purple trim
5. Grey R2 with black & white trim
6. Grey R2 with lime trim
7. Gold R2 with black trim (wave 2)
8. Blue R2 with yellow trim (wave 2)
9. Black R2
10. R3 with silver trim (wave 2)
11. R3 with orange & silver trim
12. White R4 with blue trim (wave 2)
13. White R4 with red trim
14. Black R4 with silver trim
15. White R5 with red trim
16. Black R5 with silver trim
17. Red R5 with black & white trim (wave 2)
18. White R6 with black & red trim (wave 2)
19. Silver R6 with purple trim
20. White R7 with gold trim (wave 2)
21. White R7 with blue trim
22. White R8 with cyan trim (wave 2)
23. Orange R8 with white trim
24. Silver R9 with black trim (wave 2)
25. White R9 with purple trim

Trunks
1. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with blue trim (wave 2)
2. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with yellow & silver trim (wave 2)
3. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with red trim
4. Black R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with gold trim (wave 2)
5. Black R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with red/copper trim
6. Red R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with black & white trim (wave 2)
7. Grey R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with yellow trim (wave 2)
8. Grey R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with black & white trim
9. Purple R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with silver trim
10. Maroon R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 trunk with lime trim
11. White R7/R8 trunk with black trim (wave 2)
12. White R7/R8 trunk with blue trim
13. Orange R7/R8 trunk with white trim
14. Blue R7/R8 trunk with white trim (wave 2)

Legs
1. White leg with blue trim (wave 2)
2. White leg with red trim
3. White leg with black trim (wave 2)
4. White leg with yellow & silver trim (wave 2)
5. Black leg with gold trim (wave 2)
6. Black leg with silver trim
7. Red leg with black & white trim (wave 2)
8. Grey leg with blue & yellow trim (wave 2)
9. Grey leg with black & white trim
10. Maroon leg with grey trim
11. Orange leg with white trim
12. Purple leg with silver trim

Middle Legs
1. White leg (wave 2)
2. Black leg (wave 2)
3. Red leg (wave 2)
4. Grey leg (wave 2)
5. Maroon leg
6. Purple leg
7. Orange leg

Hats
1. Sombrero
2. Mouse ears
3. Rabbit ears
4. Imperial cap
5. SW cap
6. Sorcerer's hat
7. Top hat

In Wave 1 there were 25 Domes (5 R2, 2 R3, 3 R4, 3 R5, 3 R6, 3 R7, 3 R8 and 3 R9), so the total number of domes is the same, but the break-down of droid type is different. Essentially there is one less R6, R7, R8 and R9 then there was last time and there are four more R2 domes then last time.

For the other parts...

Trunks
1. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 with Blue
2. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 with Red
3. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 with Green
4. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 with Yellow
5. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 with Purple
6. White R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9 with Black
7. Black R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9
8. Red R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9
9. Green R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9
10. Blue R2/R3/R4/R5/R6/R9
11. White R7/R8 with Black
12. White R7/R8 with Blue
13. White R7/R8 with Yellow

So there is 1 more trunk in Waves 2/3.

There were ten different leg color designs that matched trunk designs 1-10 listed above, but since there were different "left" and "right"legs there were 20 different leg pieces to collect. In Waves 2/3, there are two additional color designs, but the good thing is that you get two of each of leg part every time you get a droid with matching left and right legs, so that's a "plus". (especially in my case where I'm trying to make sure that I have at least two of every part in a "set")

For middle legs, in Wave 1 there were five - White, Black, Red, Blue & Green; and for hats there were eight total: Red, Black, Blue & Green Mouse Ears, Indy Fedora, Jack Sparrow Pirate Hat, Goofy Hat & Yoda Baseball Cap.

So here are the totals:

Wave 1:
25 Domes
13 Trunks
20 Left & Right Legs
5 Middle Legs
8 Hats
Total: 71 Parts
Waves 2/3:
25 Domes
14 Trunks
12 Left & Right Legs
7 Middle Legs
7 Hats
Total: 65 Parts

I hope this helps. I'm still almost a month away from being at WDW. I get in on a Thursday and will be hitting Downtown Disney that day. My hope is that the parts will be there too and I will be able to get a good chunk of what I need. My parents will be in tow, so I've read that they are limiting you to 25 droids (I guess their thinking is that you are gonna want one of each dome) - so if (and that's a big if) they have all 65 parts available, I'll be able to make a set of 2x of each of 25 different droid designs. I am still on the fence on whether or not I want to get two different designs with each dome like I did with Wave 1 (my Wave 1 collection has 56 different droid designs, and I have 2 of each of those designs).

I also have pairings that aren't 100% ideal - such as the White w/Purple R4 Dome on an all Black body. I'd love to identify a dome in the new Wave 2/3 set that would look good on a Wave 1 Black w/Silver body (for example that Silver w/Black R9 Dome) and then buy that dome on the all Purple body of Wave 3 and do a swap. Don't know how feasible that would be though on this trip...

Wow! I don't even have all of the first wave yet. Don't know if I'll ever be able to pick all these up.  :'(

Wow! I don't even have all of the first wave yet. Don't know if I'll ever be able to pick all these up.  :'(

Even though I acquired all of the first wave, I'm wondering that myself about this 2nd wave - seeing that there is almost the same number of parts this time as there were last time, it's kind of mind numbing to think that in 2018 they might do this all again...

It would be nice if they (Disney) could communicate their plan here, is it going to be just like the 1st wave which lasted from May 2012 until March/April 2015? So this wave would roughly last until March/April 2018? Or are they planning on a much more rapid turn-around on the parts?

I'm going to WDW in June and I might be going again in March 2016 - it would be great to know that I could count on the Wave 2 parts still being there then instead of there being an entirely new wave of parts come next year when Star Wars Weekends start up again.
