Figures making the Cut
« on: July 14, 2012, 03:36 AM »
after revealing the Ewok At-St jackers, I was thinking that I would have been upset if the line ended and these guys didn't get made.  To me if the line ended tomorrow I would have satified but they would be some characters I would like Hasbro to make and didn't make the cut.  Like example I would be upset that they didn't do Banniss Keeg and the line ended.

I was wondering, what are your guys one figure they haven't done that you would miss if the line ended ?  My was the Ewok Jackers, now its Banniss Keeg

Thoughts ?

That changes every year it seems...

For a while it was a decent Fleet Trooper obviously, for me.  Then Death Star Trooper, and Echo Base Rebel...  That list shifts often.  I right now would like to see decent Endor Rebels wearing the vest, and the camo hooded coat for instance.

Mosep would probably be on my current list.

Also, Docking Bay 94 humans, and Garrof Lafoe (definitely) make my list that I'd like to see make it in before this line's almost inevitable end.  Humans are overlooked in the realm of Jabba goons.

Sim Aloo for me.

Quite frankly, I want all of the 3 remaining dignitaries made.

For me, I would really miss not seeing Merumeru, along with some nicely-detailed Wookiee warriors.  I would also like to see an office-duel Palpatine.  Cliegg Lars would also be on that list; and now that Nu is being made, I have hope for Cliegg.  I would also like a 3-pack of Jedi younglings with the same level of articulation that the recent TVC TPM Anakin has.  It's sad to say, but I cannot think of a single character from the OT that I am pining to see.

For me, I'd love to see the rest of the Cantina dudes from that Cantina Roll Call article on starwars.com a while back. Though if I could only pick 1(well technically 2) I'd love to see the Tonnikas, even though they'll probaby be the only ones that never do. That said, my big two were Hem Dazon and Bom Vimdin, the latter which we finally got last year, so I guess I'd be fine if things ended right now.

IT's funny how different people look at thigns differently...

Like ANH Luke, since I customize, I have no desire one way or the other for him really...  If they made a super one I'd take it but I've had a simple custom of him in my own "parking lot" of ideas for a while now.  Would've never entered my mind to want him.

But if you don't customize I can see why he'd be a high priority too...  He's not had a great regular old farmboy version in a while.  Imagine what they can do now?

I'd really love to see a few things before the line ends...

ANH - fill out the rest of the missing "big" Cantina dudes - Tonnikas, Baniss, Mosep, Tzizvvt, Arliel Schous, Solomahal; plus a redo of the Lars Family - Owen, Beru, and Power Droid.

ESB - a really nice Han Solo (Carbonite) with fancy LED'd Block, a really nice SA Lando, and the vintage mustache Bespin Guard.

RotJ - Slim Aloo, resculpts for ReeYees and YakFace

Prequels - um... office duel Palps and Cliegg are pretty much it I guess.

EU:  I'd be Hasbro's best pal forever if they could go back to the Comic Pack well one last time to get me the Crimson Jack/Han Solo Marvel Star Wars #15 pack!

Mosep for me, I think. Siince he was also the basis for Marvel's "Jabba the Hut".

Sgt. Doallyn a runner up...couldn't care less about his EU backstory...he was just a distinct Jabba goon that's  unmade (while they made Bane Malar?).

Then Solomohal or whatever his name is...

A black uniformed Imperial officer with good articulation...this somehow has not happened. Don't care which one, any one...

I forget that there's still not a good ESB Lando.  Cut elbows...blech.

I'm surprised there's not more desire for a good "Declaration of Empire" Palpatine...for a safe and secure collection!

But I'm not that big on Palpatine/Sidious.

+1

And I hope they don't make them too much better to make the other guys outdated.

But I don't think I could choose a 1 and done figure.  I do want Naboo Meadow Picnic Padme and I think I would be happy never to pick up another prequel figure after that.  There are too many OT ones though.

Those are a totallly untapped area for figures....considering some of the niche-appeal stuff we have gotten (Kul Teska, comes to mind), have gone ignored waaaay too long.

There's still a few key figures I'd love to see before the line ends, but they wouldn't spoil it if we didn't get them:

TPM: Umm...

AOTC: Dorme

ROTS: Merumeru

Now these ones might spoil it for me:

ANH: Baniss Keeg

ESB: Toryn Farr / Snowtrooper Commander

ROTJ: Emperor that does not suck
