I thought they looked kinda "classy" in how they put the focus on the figure...  but they're plain.  And ultimately, and this includes 6" figures too, these aren't "high-end collectibles" no matter how you try to make the packaging LOOK like it is.  These are mass-run toys...

I just don't get why they changed from TVC when there's such a tiny window between now and inevitably new looks...  Keep going with TVC, cut the # of figures down per year, and call it a day.  Spicing things up with a new look seems pointless...

I have a very good "feeling" this isn't intended to last more than a year anyway.

Yeah, these have to be the worst cards of all time.  Tons of wasted space and blah when compared to the vintage.

I get they are trying to tie into the 6" stuff, but I agree with JJ.  The vintage card back says "COLLECT ME" way more than this cardback does.  Way better way to sell toys to collectors than this "elegant" nonsense.  Would have been really nice if they had just gone back to that well to bridge the gap between now and Ep7.

After last year I doubt that the stores would have stocked vintage if they had stuck with it.

Probably true. Collectors forget that the retailers have an influence over packaging. There's a reason for the constant packaging changes.  Vintage was the longest running packaging since Saga 1.

I'll get the figures, but they are all openers for me.  Hate the packaging, but beyond that it takes up way too much space.  Not so bright considering so many of us already have storage issues.

Awful. That is all.

I would have gone with the mini-box look like Hasbro is doing with the IM3 Assemblers. That would mimic the six inch more at this price point.

A mini-box would've been all the cause they needed for ANOTHER price hike, haha.

TRU has these for pre-order as well. Individually.

At least they were. Seems they've been removed.

The price isn't bad either...  $10.99 and no shipping ultimately if you order much.  Saves time, gas...  Not bad.

I don't even really follow Star Wars collecting all that much anymore, but. . .

Yeah that's terrible. What is up with this stupid trend of toy companies not advertising their other products on the back of boxes anymore?

Hard to fathom that the back of the packaging could be worse than the front but Hasbro pulled it off.

I liked the front...  the back is laughable.

Front I'm ok.  I know there's the massive hard-on for The Vintage Collection cards, but they probably aren't completely dead and refreshing the line's a positive thing sometimes I think.  I was happy when it was going back to Droid Factory just because I wanted the thought I was getting some kind of extra umph when I shelled out the $.

But this...  yeah...  It's very haphazard looking and the back is like someone played with some photoshop settings and just called it a day.
