The list really puts the line into perspective. Still doesn't dampen the disappointment of what could/should have been.

I think after some realignment, Clone Wars may make some kind of a comeback some day.  Think about the past of this line...  How much stuff has happened that honestly nobody thought ever would happen?  I think it's just in a weird place to the point right now that Hasbro's feeling out where to go, streamlining a little too, and so I think there's hope for Clone Wars down the line just not right now.

Some of the characters from season 5 like the Red Mandos and Palpy with 2 swords would have been awesome to see, plus they could have reissued the normal Mandos and packed them 3 per case and all would have sold.  Hasbro=brain dead

So, how long until we start seeing the remaining TCW figures on the pegs hit clearance? Stores gotta move 'em out before the next lines arrive right?

Would happily pick up a few more Phase I clones for customizing if the price is right.

I'd imagine a month or so before the new stuff's slated to start distributing they'll start clearances...  Hard to say how TRU will handle things as they're stingy on clearances but WM and Target, they're pretty clockwork.

K-Mart and Sears Grands are already marking things down to move them out, but not much is around there anyway since they were conservative in what they ordered in the first place.

Clearance season has arrived.  ;D

My local Target had $13.98 Class II ships and $7.41 Clone Wars figs. I think that works out to 30% off on the vehicles and 25% off on the figures. I'm holding out for at least 50% off if not 70% before I move on any of these though.

Strange that the Class I assortment was not being clearanced at all.

Checking in after Week 1 of Target clearance: very little moving, prices have not dropped again yet. Hoping we hit at least 50% off in the next week or two.

Hey, I'm looking for some more information on some Clone Wars 2-packs that were released circa 2009, hoping someone can help.

These were all repacks, sold mostly at TRU as I recall, and there were 4 released domestically:

Anakin/R2
Grievous/Battle Droid
Obi-Wan/Battle Droid
Cody/Battle Droid

However, there was also a planned series that followed this which ended up only being released in Europe. These sets had the distinctive red/white packaging. I'm trying to figure out how many of these sets there were, and which ones were unique. So far I have verified:

Grievous/Battle Droid (repack re-release)
Anakin/R2 (repack re-release)
Cody/Clone Trooper (this was seems to be unique as there was no US release with these 2 combined)

I feel like there is 1 that I am missing. Anyone know?

I never had any interest in these but now that the line has ended, it seemed silly to have this hole in my collection. I bought all of the US 2-packs over the weekend but the Euro versions are going to be a challenge.

I recall Pete and Greg had posted about these at one point, so I am hoping one of you guys might remember or have a link.

Thanks!

(ps - these were totally different from the Walmart 2-packs with Jek, Rys, Yoda, Echo, etc)

These sets? http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Whats_Next_For_The_Clone_Wars_126500.asp

I'm fairly sure they weren't released in the US... at least I personally never saw them.

That's them! Thanks a lot, Greg! :)

I guess there were only 3 then, and two of them were exactly the same as the previous US versions, aside from the packaging.

I swear I spent at least 30 minutes in the RS photo archive last night trying to dig those up to no avail. Glad you came through!

No problem. I remembered them being shown in late summer of that year along with a boatload of other products, so I just searched a few months of Scum's news archive. Good luck tracking them down!
