Dean that is amzing. :o

It is easily one of the coolest pieces I've ever seen, and I really mean that. I am blow away by the sheer size and detail. The cuts are all so clean and everyting fits together perfectly. I would absolutely love to have something like that, it would make a great multipurpose disply, and like CHEWIE said it would even work as a Bespin playset.

So what are you going to end up doing about the monorail car? Are young goign to add it later, or just leave it the way it is?
"This is the way."

WOW!

Great work, Dean.  Way to impress your son with your engineering talent!

The size is still hard to imagine b/c of all those SW toys!  i would hate to accidently bump into it.

Me next! Me next!  ;D

The piece looks awesome DP. I just have a couple questions...

How much time did it take to build?
Roughly what did it cost to make?
How much do I have to spend to have you make one for me?
I have been told to go to hell; well at least I will know everyone there!

Holy crap DP, that looks incredible!  After seeing all of the figures on it, I'm completely floored!  Excellent work!  The only thing that I can do is keep shouting praise at you!  I want one!   :)

By the way, Dengar's missing his backpack...  ;)  :P (hey, I needed to give some constructive criticism right?)

Bump.  This came up on Twitter recently, and my hat's still off to DeanPaul (heard he's holed up in a cavern in Utah somewhere, growing a beard) for A) making an incredible gift for his son, and B) making an incredible diorama any adult collector would've killed to have!

Impressive. I remember seeing that station in a book in the 90's. Wasn't there another one, too?

The only one I've been aware of, thanks to DP, was the one he made...  When I was young I'd never heard of, nor seen that, but then he made his and it's awesome.

I recall something from the ESB era...less generic space base and more environmental specfic from that film Dagobah and/or Hoth. Saw it online.
