It's been so long since we've seen new Kubricks I've already forgotten the 24th is Medicom update day.

While I don't consider the carded C-3PO and R2 from DX 1 'new' it's still at least nice to see new Kubrick output from Medicom. I was questioning whether we'd even see these carded re-releases anymore but it's my guess we'll only see carded re-releases exclusive to Wonder Fest and the the Parco Toy Exhibition each year at best.

I'm not all negative, while completely nonplused by the R2 and 3PO on cards, I am quietly anticipating what Medicom will do for the uber rare carded release for this show if one at all. The one that's limited to like 200 that they only hand out to VIP guests and is not for sale.

It will be a re-release but which one! Hey, I need my kubrick fix  ;)

It would be a great opportunity for them to do the new vintage style leia or Tusken raider on a card. I would personally love to see the a repaint of the death star trooper in to death squad commander by giving him a gray uni.

But I'm still hoping this show has a new dx series or basic series in the line up. ESB is gold waiting to be mined, and I still like the idea of a single wave of figures from the clone wars.

I don't get why companies stall out like this.  They could make a ton of cash just repainting figures like the Imp officer, clones, rebel trooper, ewoks, etc.  I've got zero interest in recarded figures, but at least it inspires hope for the future I guess.

I'm guessing the rare carded figure is going to another hologram or spirit.

They haven't done a Hologram Jedi Luke have they? Surprisingly you think it would be an easy one to do and it would have come before a Hologram Vader.

..and it is from ROTJ.

Time for an optimistic thought (dream)-

June 24th reveal: Bespin luke with battle damage, leia red gown, lobot, bespin guard, Han with bespin jacket, C-3po in parts. chases: black bespin guard, ugnaught. no dx series, just a basic set with one common and one rare chase, 2 bbg per MC, one Uggie.

I'm not trying to bust you balls I'm generally curious, how would they do a Bespin Han different from this:

And at the risk of Medicom putting out another redundant C-3PO:

... unless you absolutely need at carry bag accessory.

Other than that I very much like your optimistic list. Throw in a couple of Jabba's Palace denizens and Medicom could almost satisfactorily call it a day.

And I think the Toy Exhibition begins on the 22nd so hopefully we'll see something a bit sooner.

Its ROTJ's year, so as long as we're making wish lists...I want to see Ree Yees, Barada, Klaatu, Nikto, Weequay, and Squid Head.  I don't even care about chases or builds, just give me those six and I can die happy.

He was hiding behind Lando's giant cape on my shelf, I forgot all about him! I'd rathr see something else for sure.

But C-3PO is $50 or more on ebay, and I would like a loose shiny version without paying that kind of coin...

Yeah - along with that, it's not like we've seen a wave without some kind of reissue/repaint in a long time either.  I could see them just taking the exact same figure with a different paint job or tweak and releasing as a Bespin wave.

Probably all moot since we don't even know that we'll see any SW Kubrick info at this point...

Only 11 days to go!

Hope they announce 2 series. Possible only because of the Disney purchase maybe delayed a launch?

I just hope we get something, please Medicom please  :'(
