Interesting... Jayson mentioned on YakFace's FB page that these figures have 13 POA, so they'll be cool for various poses.

Hmmmmmmmmm....  Interesting stuff.

Yet another scale of plastic figures (not cloth 1/6 stuff is what I mean).  That Han looked pretty damn good.

A couple of the figures look fairly shiny, but I'm assuming that's a combination of prototype paint-apps and flash lighting.  I'm certainly interested.

They look great. I'd be curious to see them in person. I would be more into a 3-PO and R2 maybe, but they all look fun.

I am surprised by the generally positive reaction to these figures. They strike me as realistic styled versions of those Force Battler gimmicky figures... great for kids no doubt, but extremely toy-ish. I have yet to cave on any Hasbro 12" soap bottles or Jakks 31" figures, so I doubt I'll get any of these either.

I'm curious to see the Stormtrooper and Fett in person, but would likely still skip at that price.

I like that Fett Prototype at Yakface...  That thing's pretty spiffy looking so far.  I think Luke looks meh, but I thought in general they were ok.  I don't think I'd ever buy any of them unless Bossk Hogg snuck in there though.

These do not look like 12" figures to me...they seem larger. I would guess 18" or better.

I don't like the shiny hard plastic look either. It's not so bad on the Stormy and Vader but it makes the humans look like ceramic figurines.

Guessing these will only be available at Disney stores anyway, so an easy pass for me.

How well do they fit in with old Hasbro 12" or Sideshow figures?  What did you think of the electronics?

What did you think of the electronics?

Chewie sounds like Pluto, Luke like Mickey, Stormie like Goofy, and Han like Donald.  :P

The stormtrooper is the best of the 4 currently available by far. I personally think they are better than the old Kenner/Hasbro figures. They've got nothing on Sideshow but I would use that as a metric. The electronics as far as sound goes is awesome. The voices all sound authentic as do the blaster fire shots and saber effects. I can't wait to see a painted/finished sample of the Fett. There was so much detail in the sculpt I hope they do it justice.

One more thing... Vader's cape & tabards are not hard plastic... they are a thick vinyl/rubber that has some weight to it while still being pliable. Almost like wet suit material - floppy, yet holds its form.

Was tempted for about a minute on the Stormtrooper last weekend while at the MOA. But the $30 made it any easy pass in the end.

I picked one up a few weeks back.  I was really on the fence at that price point, but the sound is great and the trooper at least feels like he fits better with my other 12" figs.  So almost the same experience as you, except you still have $30 in your wallet.   :-\
