Hey Brent, I think I saw you on TV at the Jets game last night...

The age is about right and the expression is dead on after we've crapped the bed five games in a row...

Can I borrow those the next time the Pens play a division opponent?

And are in the midst of a pretty good feud/crisis if the rumors are true.

Just keep it up long enough for Parise/Dubnyk to carry my squad back into the picture, thanks!  :-*

Yeah.   :-\

I've defended Kane a lot in the past on other boards.  There's no real telling what actually happened or not but something clearly did happen.  I expect Kane won't play again for the Jets.  He's also on IR right now so that may hamper things.  He's certainly been playing injured, you can see it when you watch him.

An eventual trade seems inevitable, along with a healthy dose of sour grapes afterwards.  He's our own little Seguin.  I'm just hoping we get decent value for him.  He should generate a decent return, but not what he once would have.

If you can get Kane to get that shoulder surgery to keep him on IR until the draft, you'll get much better value than what they're offering right now for sure.  Sad though that it's come to this with him and your squad.

Edit:
There you go, Brent: Coach Maurice announces Kane needs surgery on his shoulder. The usual timeline for recovery is 4-6 months. Recovery time is... just in time to be traded at the draft. ;)

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the team reacts... might actually help them come together a bit , assuming they can get past the next few days of media attention and distraction.

In other news, last night was a good for the Wild - Kings lost, Stars lost, Avs lost, Canucks lost. All in regulation, so no loser points.  :)

Which our awful fourth line and horrid not-even-third pairing defense handed to you guys by acting like whiny bitches.  Ugh.  Complete giveaway right there.  Should have been a clean two.

Evander who?

Honestly, I was quite surprised we weren't down by 2-3 after that first ten minutes.

We played 2.5 periods against Vancouver with only 10 forwards and then those 10 forwards had to play less than 24hrs later.  Our 2nd leading goal scorer is out for 3 months, one of our top PK guys is out for a month.  Our lines were completely scrambled thanks to those injuries and we were out-shot 15-3 at one point in the first.

Like I said, at least we got a point.  :-\

Great day for Chicago sports teams.  Kane has clavicle surgery and Rose needs his knee scoped.

I know that this is unreasonable, but in the case of Kane's hit, they should seriously suspend the other guy for as long as Kane will be out (12 weeks I believe).  If you end up hitting someone and it's deemed a dirty hit, the punishment should equal the injury it causes.  I completely understand that hockey is a collision sport and that people are going to get hurt.  I'm not talking about the injuries that occur on a clean hit.  I'm talking about the headhunters out there that are looking to hurt someone (I'm looking at you Raffi Torres).

Wait, is Rose getting a scope or does he have a meniscus tear?

I read meniscus tear yesterday and that his season was over.

Both a scope and a meniscus repair.  I don't think anyone's done a meniscus surgery/repair by anything other than arthroscopic surgery in probably 20+ years.  That's how long ago I had my first one and I've had two more since.

I'm kind of surprised they're talking season over for a meniscus but I guess it depends on the severity and location of the tear.  It must be worse than peripheral.
