Walgreens Black Series 6" Emperor's Wrath Darth Vader

Force Lightning Emperor rumors were wrong... it sounds like it is his lightning target, Darth Vader, that is getting the figure.

No pics yet (give it time), but, we have this from Hasbro:

I was right about that, considering the Hasbro guy was saying Force Choke and the Emperor never did that.  So, were these supposed to hit tonight?

Gotta agree with the timing.  It's nice to have things somewhat spaced out.  Although I am wondering if this Vader's right hand will come off to show some exposed wires at the wrist.

I'm also hoping that there's going to be a companion Emporer with some Force Lightning at some point in time.

They're what, 40-ish figures into this line and we've already had 2 Boba Fetts, 2 Biker Scouts, 2 Sandtroopers, 2 Vaders, 4 Stormtroopers...

I have to interpret that as Hasbro wanting to get more bang for their tooling buck.

And I think we're at 3 x Sandtroopers now with the new EE exclusive set.

You forgot about Phase I Clone Trooper.  Already made 3: Grunt, Captain, Sergeant.  To be made: Lieutenant (TRU exclusive) and commander (Clone 4-pack).  And those are pretty much coming out soon, so there's 5!!

I don't mind it, not a bad thing for an exclusive.  Not the end of the world if for some reason you can't find it, but kind of a neat figure if you can.  I like those kind of exclusives.  I'll be trying to hunt it down when the time comes.

I think I read the hand comes off... wouldn't be a proper to the scene if it didn't.... but, yeah, exposed wires is a must.  It's too bad we don't get some Force lightning to encompass the figure.  Have that instead of the lightsaber (not needed since this is a scene specific figure).

Yeah but to me if they go that route too quickly it means you're never going to get cool, less pivotal characters made.  They used to supplement smaller tier characters with easy to make re-hashes, now they're just spreading them around right off the bat.
