Isnt it time for a Resculpt of Ben Kenobi OT

We have gotten 4 different Bens so far:  POTF2 Ben, Flashback Ben, POTJ Ben and the Vader vs Ben 2-pack. All of which IMO are lacking the current SAGA feel.  The likeness on all of them are off, and not one of them fits into a current Landspeeder.  Anyone else suprised we have not seen one yet?

POTJ Ben (cloakless) is a very nice figure.  My next favorite is flashback by default.  I would love a new one, the problem starts to be the cloak.  Since most every other cloak in modern SW figures is plastic they need to sculpt something similar...

perhaps something akin to the EpI Naboo Jedi

I would very much like a Ben that can sit in the TRU Landspeeder as well as the Millennium Falcon console. I know cloth goods are hit & miss, but it's about time Hasbro tried with this character.

I think all figures that have plastic robes should be redone with soft goods. The new Mace Windu (screen scene) and Saesee Tiin look like great starts to this.

Oh I agree on that one Ed, if every figure from now would be done in nice soft goods then start resculpting away...

I thought that the POTJ Ben Kenobi was pretty good.  And that only came out about 2+ years ago?  It's one of my favorites from the POTJ line.  There was also Ben from the 25th Anniversary 2-pack.  That was definitely an upgrade from the POTF2 Flashback figure.

As for how they could improve it....

Make a similar figure to the POTJ version, but with softgoods from the waist down.  Then, also give him the Jedi robes, also in softgoods.  The one that came with the SAGA Obi-Wan pilot is pretty good, so that's a starting point.

Then, package him as a Deluxe figure with the Death Star's Tractor Beam control station.  That would be a Ben Kenobi I'd be very pleased to see, and would be happy to buy.

And finally...give him his own lightsaber hilt.  My one and only gripe with the POTJ Ben is that he had Luke's lightsaber hilt attached to his belt, not his own.

I'd dig a new poseable Ben with soft goods...  His head could use a new sculpt for sure.  Even the POTJ one was a tad weak.  I think they could definitely do better there.

With good cloth on his skirt piece and a cloth robe you could take off, they could make one sweet "Old Ben" figure I think though, that was good for multiple scenes...  Even his duel with Vader.
