So, JJ heard a rumor on 1:18th about a western line.   My hopes are up that it is successful.

Oh yeah, my friend Saul said he was going to send me a sneak preview of them to check out, but he never did.   :P

Watch for news at Joe Con.

Maybe even the front page here, if it is a slow news day.

In Star Wars, everything's a slow news day anymore.  Thus these smaller toy lines are the bee's knees. :)

Ok, there are so many more details that I will share later when Jesse does his exclusive interview, but long story short.

I've started a western line, with the help of Boss Fight doing the Art, former industry pros doing the digital sculpts, I'm excited.  We are debuting it at Joe Con tomorrow.  But you guys get the scoop first.

This is really exciting news Paul!  I'm anxious to learn more.  The era  is ripe for cool action figures I think.  I'll be home next week and talk more then!

Oh man, those are awesome.  Definitely see myself picking some of those up.  The Marshall will be a nice add to my Mos Eisley cantina! :P

My brother says the Sharps Rifle having a popup site on it is giving GIJ fans a boner.

This is apparently getting a butt-ton of press though Paul, congrats.  Gonna whip up something here for us tonight/later tomorrow.

Our own coverage of this story is up and features some details.  Paul's shared quite a bit with us and it's incredible really.  This is the kind of line I can really get into, and I think a lot of other collectors can as well.  The customizability alone intrigues me on it actually.  A mix/match style for some basic swaps is pretty interesting and would lend itself well to allowing collectors to easily make their own character with minimal effort.

Wish more lines were like this, quite frankly.  It only takes some standardization.

Hoping I didn't miss a detail there.  Wanted the story to be up tonight once Paul sent me the information. :)

It's awesome Paul, and I really hope it works for you.  I know this is something you've wanted for a long time and this transcends being just a line you think could be successful.  It's also something near to you, and I know I plan to help out once the Kickstarter campaign is set up!

Definitely going to start socking away some cash to get in on the kickstarter once it is ready.  Hope it works out for you, Paul!

It is now "Dime Novel Legends".... a little company named Wal Mart owns "Legends of the West"...

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1693604734243240/

I think we have the kinks worked out, the page is public now.  Kickstarter in just over 30 days.

We ended up with 15 figures in the First wave/series/run.

No "Missouri Train Robber" YET.... but he is on the drawing board.

If you post anywhere other than here, please share this.  We are running it pretty tight, but that means a pretty low number to make it a reality.   I've told JJ this, but truth be told, I'm not looking to make any $$ on this first wave(other than what I have put in), I want a line of Cowboy Action Figures, so basically if I can get enough people to buy a "Marshall", I can get my copy for free.

PM coming your way Paul, but wow, Wal-Mart?  Really?  Ugh.

Sorry on that man, but I like the other name better.  A little more mature tone to it.

Boy I hope that Missouri Train Robber happens. :P

Paul was kind enough to pass along a press release for the Kickstarter campaign date and all the various levels people can get by supporting it!

This is really awesome Paul, and I plan to support.  I've wanted a wild west too, so I'm all for this.

Here's the link to our story on the front page:

I dig the "Vigilante" 3D render Paul...  :P  Is that Arm & Hammer there?

Oh and this render too...  Really pro work being done Paul.  Hat (or derby, in this case) off to him/her.  Bat Masterson-ish eh? :)
