Walmart Black Series 3.75" Wave 7
« on: November 10, 2016, 10:06 AM »
Since the four Rogue One figures were split across two waves now, I guess we should have a thread for this wave too...  no word on case assortment yet.  Hopefully it goes 3x each like the Wave 6 case had for Jyn and Deathtrooper.

Word is that it's
3x Cassian Andor
3x Scariff Stormtrooper
2x Jyn Erso
2x Deathtrooper
1x Admiral Ackbar
1x Lando Calrissian

They are committed to those Black Series reissues.  :P

Reissues are fine, but pick better figures.

Ahsoka and the ERG would have been much better than Lando and Ackbar.  Heck, go ahead and throw in a FO Stormtrooper, or Rey, or Phasma.

Nice - glad they went three each of Cassian and Scarif Trooper in this case just like the original Jyn/Death Trooper case.

At least the Death Trooper will be back for a little while. Hope there's a cool wave 8.

I'd like to see some more ERG's in those carry-forwards, but I'm also glad to see more Deathtroopers.  It's a very cool figure.

Definitely looking forward to the Scarif Stormtrooper.  It's a cool design that harkens back a little to the Clone Army, but also has hints of the Scout Trooper design as well.

As for wave 8?  Who know what to expect?!?!  Although I'd definitely like to see Chirrut Imwe represented.  A Stormtrooper would be welcome, too.  And then there's that X-wing pilot who looks sneakily like Brian Cranston....

I'm fairly convinced I won't see these or wave 6 until 16 December.

The same thing happened with TBS Episode VII waves last year.
This is the way.

On my personal list of 1st World issues, this Black Series Walmart exclusivity has just surpassed "shortage of CoffeeMate mocha creamer at the grocery stores". (Emphasis on BS.)

I figured with fewer outlets, there'd be more deliveries per store even if overall numbers were lower. And an online presence would mean I didn't have to make extra trips to Walmart to compensate for not having to visit other  brick-and-mortar. Aside from one bountiful visit, it's been slim pickings.

Dear Santa at the end of the annual Macy's parade that ushers in the yuletide season,  please let my dreams of a black series Christmas come true. Lightly smite the powers that be at Walmart and Hasbro so they see the error of their ways. They make more products. We spend. They move into bigger mansions and drive more exotic cars. And Tunghori profits from his gray market enterprise. Everyone wins.

[And just my luck -- wrong thread.  :( ]

I finally got a chance to really look at these new figures and I am really impressed!

Cassian Andor:  Great figure with awesome articulation.  The likeness is good, but the goatee is a bit pronounced compared with what he looks like in the movie.  I love the modular design of the blaster and the added wrist articulation for when I have it in "sniper configuration".

Jyn Erso: Excellent figure!  Love the extra blaster pieces here as well.  Likeness is about as good as you're going to get IMO.

Deathtrooper:  My first impression is that these guys are kinda skinny.  Granted, the likeness is spot on from what we see on screen, I just didn't expect them to be taller and have legs so skinny.  Great likeness, but my only gripe is that I wish they had a holster for the pistol.

Scarif Shoretrooper:  Excellent all the way around!  My only complaint is that I have only found one so far!
This is the way.

Arg - missed the scarif trooper. Would have been nice to grab four and be all caught up.  :(

Pretty amazing. The Walmart I frequent must have gotten 20 cases of black series in the weeks leading up to the 25th. I think there were two wave 6, two wave 7 and the rest were wave 4. I missed all the Scarif's.

Was lucky for once and was able to order the Scarif Trooper off of WM.com.
