Air Hogs
« on: November 17, 2016, 12:54 PM »
Anybody ever buy any of the Air Hogs remote control vehicles?

My son wants a remote control airplane for Christmas, but was thinking of getting one of these since they seem like they should be a little more stable and forgiving for novices.

Any thoughts, or advice on which models are good/bad?  It looks like there are a lot of different Star Wars options at very different price points.

Yeah, it looks like there are three different sizes of Falcons.  Anybody ever try these out, or other Air Hogs that might compare?

I'd gotten the Republic Gunship from Hasbro but that was years ago.  I reviewed it, and had fun with it, but these can be pretty tricky to fly, or fly well at least.  :-\

Also very different from an RC plane...  Kinda different hobbies IMO.  So not sure your son would be happy or not.

The tech has come a ways since that Gunship tho and these may be m0uch easier to fly now.  There are entry level planes to check out too...  That's an expensive hobby for sure, but so are Drones if you get way into it.

I started a thread in other collectables with a better alternative.  The Air Hogs have received some pretty bad reviews.
This is the way.

I have spoken.
