Black Series 3.75" Titanium Series Figures

(1/10) > >>

Jeff:
From io9

"The 3.75-inch figurines in the new Titanium series will retail for $15 each, and are all based on A New Hope. While they’re static figurines rather than poseable action figures, each of the six —Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo—also feature accessories like FX pieces for their weapons, as well as their own special backdrops. The backdrops include two different inserts, a backdrop from the movies, and also character art that can be connected to other Titanium series figure stands to complete the full scene."

I remember when they did this.... 12 years ago.  :(

Rob:
I feel a philosophical collecting crisis coming on... I'm assuming these are metal and not plastic?  Non-posable, but scaled with the regular line we've been collecting for 20 years...

Would one buy these and mix them in with regular figures or treat them as something completely separate?

Nicklab:
I cringed when I read the word "figurines" in that article.

Yes.  Titanium Series = die-cast.

Do whatever you did the last time they tried this (like Nick said, 12 years ago - 2005). :P  Although the 2005-2007 version had a plastic case and these look like they won't.

I have no problem treating them as their own separate thing and passing on them.

Well, these are non-posable so they really are more "figurine" than "action figure". ;)
