Today's installment of The Vintage Conversation:
"What are your top 3 existing 3.75" Star Wars super-articulated Vintage Collection figures that you would like to see totally resculpted and re-released. Link in our bio."

-----

My votes are going to the following:

#TheVintageConversation
Princess Leia Organa - A NEW HOPE (resculpt of 2004 VOTC figure)
Lando Calrissian - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (resculpt of 2004 VOTC figure, now with removable cloak)
Endor Rebel Commando - RETURN OF THE JEDI (resculpt of TVC 26 to a clean shaven  likeness, and with a vest instead of the duster)

Very close to mine.

Went with Leia, Lando and the Stormtrooper - could not think of a third off the top of my head.

The Stormtrooper seems like an obvious one, and I was on the verge of going that way, too.  But when I was taking a look through the RS photo archive of The Vintage Collection, the Endor Rebels stuck out to me.

My three are just about the same:

Leia - ANH is the top choice but I wouldn't mind seeing an Ewok Village or a Bespin Escape SA resculpt either

Lando - VOTC is nearly perfect, just needs a new upper body. Removeable cape would be interesting, as Hasbro has multiple ways of going about it

Palpatine - Is the best OT version still the one from the Evolutions set with the awful robe?

Honorable mentions go to Count Dooku, TFA Rey (without the gloves), and Tarkin.

I voted Han Endor.  That figure is atrocious! I also voted Luke farmboy.  Again ditch the unnecessary softgoods shirt finally.  And lastly I voted the Endor Rebel because that figure with the trench coat just doesn’t cut it to me.

Sticking with figures that could use a complete overhaul (vs those who could use just nee arms or heads)...

Farmboy Luke Skywalker (no soft goods)
Endor Han Solo ( no barrel torso and scrawny legs)
C-3PO (none of that removable plating bulkiness)

I'd be for a new Endor Han. I'm actually ok with the last 5 POA one, from a looks good just standing there angle. But I'm sure there's a new SA version that would be great. I don't like the soft goods coat, at least with this guy. I'd like a sculpted option.

Good call on that Endor Han Solo.  With the coat on the figure looks fine.  But in ROTJ Han ditches the coat after the whole speeder bike sequence.  And the figure without the coat on just doesn't look so good.  Considering that the whole bunker raid happens without the coat?  Endor Han Solo should look good with AND without the coat.

Seems like we have a little bit of a consensus, here. I went with:

--Farmboy Luke (no softgoods)
--White Dress Leia (no softgoods)
--Bespin Escape Lando (with removable cape)

Hmmm. I guess the Hoth Luke falls under this...

Hoth Luke
X Wing Luke It's good, but could be better.

Oh, God. X-Wing Luke. That figure is overly bulky and the head sculpt isn't that good, for right now. Great pick.

I thought about X-Wing Luke, but for whatever reason I have a great deal of fondness for that figure, it really impressed me when it came out (what? 12 years ago??) If they resculpted it I would probably have a hard time upgrading just because of the nostalgia factor.

The same thing happened to me when they did Bespin Han...I had a real hard time giving up POTJ Bespin Han (OK, so I didn't even give him up, he's still on a shelf because I still love that figure, as outdated as the sculpt may be.)

1. Han Solo (Yavin Ceremony) (ANH) (Buttoned Collar)
2. Imperial Navy Commander (Galactic Empire) (Imperial Uniform - Grey Deco)
3. 2-1B (Two-Onebee) (Medic or Surgical Droid) (Metallic Blue Deco)

Ceremony Han another great choice.

I never abandoned my POTJ Bespin Han. One of all time faves. I have every version out - or I did, sorry, before I moved. I used them all for different little scenes.

Princess Leia (ANH)
Lando Calrissian (Bespin)
Han Solo (Endor)

I'll add my vote to the POTJ Bespin Han camp as well, one of my all time favorites as well, and has never got demoted from the display. I was happy to see others felt the same! I remember having a tough time finding it, and my wife being so excited when she did, so it will always hold a special place for me. The POTJ line in general is one of my favorite times of collecting.
