I was on the phone with my dad earlier this evening and he reported seeing $1.89 (in Twin Cities). Insane!

I've seen $1.87 a couple of places...

I remember reading somewhere there is an addage in the oil industry "Up like a rocket and down like a feather", which means while prices are quick to go up based on  crude prices, they always slow in coming down based on same crude prices.

Gas here was sitting at 84.4 per litre then just before the Christmas holidays it jumps to 89.9. Now we are at 80.9, slowly it drops.
