I have two J'Quilles ... for you if you want them.

-Fish-

Yes please, yes please!  I actually need 3 J'Quilles, if you happen across one more.  I'm cool on the Rappertunies though, thanks.  I'll try to give you a buzz tomorrow sometime, and we'll set up a time to get together.  Congrats again on the new pad!

This is what I scored while in Arizona since Friday:

___ Darth Vader Case x3 with insert(s) $1 each
___ Hoth Ice Set with cardboard AT-AT (missing a few pieces) $2
___ Dagobah Playset with base, hut, and lever x2 $1 each
___ Trash Compactor (no creature) from Death Star Playset x2 $1 each
___ Imerial Dignitary (complete) $9
___ Paploo (complete) $19
___ Lando General (just figure) $5
___ Luke Poncho (just figure) $5
___ Luke Poncho (poncho and belt no gun) $13
___ A-Wing Pilot (no gun) $15
___ Lobot (complete) $1
___ FX7 (complete) $1
___ Power Droid (complete) $1
___ Chewbacca (complete) $6
___ A beautiful home

I was on such a role...(so I thought) I took my son to a comic book store and spotted an R2  for $5 with a hole on top (pop up).  I purchased it to find out it was just missing it's sensorscope >:(.  Oh well...the role had to stop.

Man, I hate you.  Only in the jealousy sense, but I still hate you :-*  Congrats.

I managed to find a pretty much mint condition Empire Strikes Back Mellenium Falcon with instruction mannual and all pieces! Was most pleased to find out that it had complete working sounds and also the original Jedi training laser ball. All this at a price of about 40 pounds which is about 70 dollars at a guess

almost forgot, about 3 years ago one of my employees told me he had a box of star wars figures in his basement from when he was a kid, and asked me if i wanted them. i said, sure, why not? probably nothing spectacular, but i'll trade them off, use them for customs, or whatever. he came in the next day with a bag full of about 20 figures. i took a quick glance in the bag, and saw random, common figures - luke bespin, han hoth, chewbacca, vader, etc. etc. i asked him how much he wanted for them, and he told me nothing. i bought him lunch that day anyway, and we called it even.

when i got home that night, i dumped the bag out and started going through the figures. nothing spectacular, until my eyes see a blue snaggletooth and a death star gunner  :o

both were incomplete and in slightly played with condition, but for about $10 i couldn't complain.

Ask Bertie,
Welcome.

jokabofe,
Nice story, thanks for sharing.  Do you have a complete set of loose figures or do you just dabble in the vintage line?  If my memory serves me correctly I believe your primary focus is the modern line.

fish, my main focus is modern, but i have an almost complete vintage loose collection as well. i'm missing about 14 figures, maybe a few more. i know i have a list around here somewhere, but don't ask me where  :)

i just got around to fixing up my collection room, and displaying all of my vintage figures in some cases with sliding glass doors. i'm almost done with my room, and as soon as i am, i'll be taking some pics.

Back in the old days... probably '90/'91, from a toy dealer in town… funny thing is- when he approached me with it he seemed to think I wouldn't want it and really talked up a pitch to move it. Also snatched a C-10 carded Yak from him (his last one out of a case from Australia) for $140, but me thinks the R2 was the sweeter prize.

Here's a recent one:
4th of July weeekend-hit the local flea market at the cottage and found a $10 loose vintage 12" 3PO excellent condition.  Also, grabbed a carded NM ROTJ Nien Nunb for $20-great thing was it had the japanese sticker on the back of the card (65back).

2 vintage loose in M/NM condition for $2ea.

Not too shabby.
