Not too sure about that cow Fettish your wife has going there though.  If she ever signs on, I fear her username.

She'll never sign on here.  She loves my Star Wars collection.  She's helped me get awesome stuff for it, but she's not THAT into it.  She's a very cool wife!

Thanks for the compliments on her collection!

Brent...I curse you, I now have a new collection to add

Captain America comic books

One of the only comics I read religiously as a kid was Captain America and in order to make up some huge trades with Brent I took possession of some of his golden oldies and She-Hulk mags.

Well a fire was rekindled probably coupled with my love of the MArvel Legends line and now I've been hunting down runs of comics on eBay.  They can be had very cheaply so it shouldn't be a problem completing a set back to when I started reading (around issue 300) and I've bid on some sets back before that since they are so cheap and will provide hours of entertainment

The scary thing is while paging through some of the issues I did have is remember them almost verbatim.  I must have read each issue ten times and I forgot how fun comics actullay are.

Any anger from the war department will be vented northward!

Hey everybody - I moved the McFarlane Sportspicks discussion (there was a lot of it!  8)) into it's very own brand new home right here: McFarlane Sportspicks

So feel free to continue on in the new McFarlane Sportspicks thread if that's your thing, and anyone else who wants to chime in with all the other stuff they collect can do so here (not to say you can't mention the Sportspicks as one of the things you collect here though  ;))...

Sorry for the interruption!  Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...   :-*

Hey, Brian? You know Toddy Mac is putting out NASCAR Sportspicks this year? Big E and Little E both got figs coming. I dunno that I'll be able to get them, given I am smack dab in the middle of NASCAR Country (Mooresville, NC..home of everyones damn race shop).

Anyway, since my last post things have changed.

My collection of 72 Simpsons is on eBay as we speak, I've gotten back into McFarlane figs, i.e. Predator and Matrix, and I am still doing Star Wars, L.O.T.R. and Marvel Legends.

Yep, spreading myself pretty thin, but I have to do something while we are all in this Star Wars drought.

In addition to SW, I collect:

LOTR
Simpsons (but not so much anymore)
Buffy (if they ever get around to putting more out...)
NASA Space Shuttle toys/replicas
Any kind of spaceships.  I LOVE spaceships.   ;D
And the odd piece here and there.

I'd love to collect Marvel Legends, but I just don't have the money or the space.  I do have a little space for Beast, though.   :)

Dang Scott, some of those figures look Canadian.  YOu must have been desperate (or generous).

Spuffy,
do you have all of the Buffy figures?  I thought about them, but being in Canuckada, distribution has been worse than awful.  TRU brought in the first series then nada.  Oh wait, that sounds like everything. ::)

All but Spike.   :(

I can't afford to pay $75 for him on Ebay, so... distribution here is awful.  I wish someone else would get the license.  MAC is a truly awful company.  The figures (such as they are) are nice, but their PR leaves a lot to be desired.

Where are you Spuffy?  I'll check a couple of the local stores.  I doubt he's around, but if he is I'll let you know what they're asking.  Sometimes you get lucky.  I managed to score my McFarlane repaint Cujo (only NM though) for $75 Cdn at a retailer when it was going for over $100 US on ebay.  At the time $100 US was around $150 or so Cdn, so you can imagine how happy I was.  Just missed a repaint Roy at the same store for the same price too :o

Well...I'vee decided to focus on toys from my childhood 1974+.  I am working on loose vintage SW figures.  No vehicles at this time.  I also collect Dune figures, vehicles, models, books, etc.  I just recently took up The Clash of the Titans, Tron, and Battlestar Galactica.  I'm still in debate on the Indiana Jones and Buck Rogers.

Here is a good reference site...

Top Jedi:  Where were you when I was collecting Clix???  If you need any loose Secret Wars, old MOTU, Aliens, send me a list.  My buddy has a few.  Also do you have any words of wisdom concerning Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, or Indiana Jones figs.

My only words of wisdom for collecting those other lines is search E-bay often...and be patient......I've seen some great deals on tons of stuff.......but patience will be the key....unless you're loaded ;)

I really don't have much of a want list at this time......I just snag what looks cool......90% of my stuff is boxed up.....I'm hoping that within a month max my parents move out and I can set my collection up.....THEN I'll have an idea of what I need.......until then it's really a guessing game....other than vintage SW stuff....
