TIME FOR A CLEARANCE
« on: December 4, 2003, 12:09 AM »
Which items in your areas REALLY need to be clearanced?  Got some realistic pricepoints that people would actually PAY for the dust ridden Star Wars items at certain retail establishments?  And pricepoints that the retailers would actually CONSIDER reducing the stuff to?

Here's a few retailers; with a list of the "junk" they have sitting around, and what they need to reduce the prices to:

WALMART

Cantina Sets - reduce them to $3 or less; get rid of them!

KMART

Saga 2002 Figures - reduce them all by 50%

KAY-BEE

Saga 4-pks - reduce to $4.99 they WILL sell at that price

Lightsaber Bundle pks - reduce to $9.99 like TRU did

TRU

Saga Gunship - reduce to $29.99 like the CW version (or less)

Screen Scenes - reduce to $12.99 to get them moving faster

Saga 2002 Deluxes - reduce to $2 each get rid of them!

12" Figures - reduce down to $4.97 (won't even sell at $9.97)

AOTC POTJ Preview Figures - reduce to $1.97

TARGET

Ta-Da!  They don't need to reduce ANYTHING in my area; just maybe have a 50% off sale one week on their Clone Wars figures to make room for newer stuff more often.

Thoughts?  Ideas?

:P

I picked up cantina sets a few months back for $2 each at walmarts... In my area they're already gone.

Walmarts around here basically have stuff from April 2004 and slightly later collecting dust...

TRU is the same

Target, unbelievably has nothing but the first wave of clone wars figures...

Same here.

If they're going to do this, it needs to happen soon. Christmas season is going to suck for some kids whose parents keep up with what figures they've got and want (not to mention guys like us who buy them for ourselves  :-*).
