Jedi Warriors 4-Pack
« on: November 21, 2003, 11:04 AM »
I really do not like this, it is re-packs of all the figures i think it sucks and will not be buying, but the figures look pretty sweet in there.

Next up for the Toy's 'R' Us multipack series, we get our first look at the Jedi Warriors 4-pack. Consisting of four previously released figures; Nikto Jedi (repaint), Obi-Wan Coruscant Chase, Saesee Tiin (POTJ), and Plo Koon Arena Battle, the set also offers the Geonosian detention device originally slated to go with the Arena Playset. Sporting the new package design, it appears this set is ready for its late 2003/ early 2004 release!

You can see a picture of the set at Rebelscum.com :-X

This will probably mark the end of the 4-packs. Who the hell is going to buy these?

Well, unfortunately, I will be getting this too.  I passed on the Bounty Hunter 4 pack because all it had new was the EU swoop.  But with the containment unit, I must have this set.

I just started head swaps when I participated in the artoosnews.com SH4.  BTW, I could never force the new head back on.  I ended up shaving the nob off bit by bit with finger nail clippers until it was small enough to fit back into the head hole.  Luckly, it was still large enough that the head wasn't loose.

Anyway, I will either customize or give the 4 figures to my son or something.  I would have much preferred them doing a little extra like they did in the previous 4-packs and either give different heads with the jedi or given us the 3 previously release jedi padawans with 3 new heads... something different.

I want two sets. One for my display and one for customs. I already made a captured Obi-Wan way back when I thought the piece was going to be included with the Geo Arena. Can't wait to finally put him on the darn unit.

Wouldnt it be great if big H made the unit 'fiber optic' of sorts? And it could glow... I think it would be a neat touch.

I have a question on this one.  On the back of the box, Saesee Tiin has a green saber but in the box, he is holding a purple one.
Anyone know why the change??

the POTJ figure came with a purple, did it not?  I can't see mine from here to say for sure.  It could be possible that they made no changes to the production orders and instead just used the old POTJ orders to create the figure for the 4-pack.  That would've meant a purple saber would've been the color designation and the produced item I'd assume.

Why he was pictured with a green one on the back though, I do not know....  Just what they had on-hand for the product shoot perhaps.  That's not entirely uncommon I guess.

Just to confirm, I checked and the POTJ did come with a purple saber.  Weird.

I actually came across several of these sets this past weekend at TRU.  I am not interested at all, so I passed.  I have a feeling these sets might be clogging for awhile, but I guess you never know.

Yeah, I'll admit too that the packaging wasn't too bad at all.....its the actual figures that made it unappealing :P.

Strange, for I too was hypnotized by the packaging.  I think I am still in shock to see "new" stuff at my area retailers after the drought period last year.
