Kinder Suprise - Hipperium
« on: January 20, 2003, 01:44 PM »
Has anyone got those little guys (and girl)? I know that in US is forbidden to sell that kind of toy and food mixture. Something good about living in Europe (SW considering) is that I eat a ton of chocolate and got most of figures.

I really love them, they're cool as hell. Unfortunately, I'm an American... So I've gotta find someone to hook me up with one or two of them eventually.

I have the set of the Hippos. The only thing that  did not get was the Playset. I did not know about some playset so that is something I will get later.
BUt the little hippos and the other toys that were in the assortment are pretty neat.

I recomend picking up a set if you ever get the chance.

Gotta go with Binks and say get these if you can! They are fun, the look cool, don't take up much room, and they come in chocolate eggs! :)

The picture doesnt show this, but the Landspeeder has a cool floating mechanism in it. You balance the front on a clear plastic peg to hold it in place, and a magnet in the back makes it float!

There are also five other "Kinder Maxi Egg" suprises, 2 plush figures (Hippoda and Aubacca), an Erzwo Pull Back Robot, a puzzle, and a game

There were two unliscensed cardboard dioramas made by a company called Dragon, one a Millenium Falcon, the other a Vader style helmet.

toypalace (Germany) is the place for these.  Prices are quasi reasonable but shipping is a tad scary for North America.

Vaders helmet display

I didn't find the other display, though they had it before, or the figs themselves.  Cool stuff.

The German chocolate company Kinder has a mascot character known as the Happy Hippo (also the name of one of their chocolate bars). Kinder got the rights from Lucasfilm to dress these characters up in Star Wars parody costumes; they also had a short series of animated shorts, and adorned the packaging of Kinder for a brief period. These toys were available in Kinder Chocolate Eggs. There were ten small figures (as seen in the picture) available in randomly packed regular sized eggs (other eggs have different toys, highly collectible in German and some collecting circles). The six big items (pull back Erzwo (R2), plush Hippoda and Aubacca, a puzzle, a game and a figure scale landspeeder) were available in Kinder Maxi chocolate eggs and were harder to come by.

Hope that answers your question! :)
