2003 figs on 2004 cards
« on: January 24, 2004, 02:45 PM »
does anyone know where i could find a list of the carded re-releases from 2003 on the 2004 cards? i checked in our own checklists, but that info isn't there (or i'm just too dumb to find it). being the completeist that i am, of course i need to get my hands on every single one of these, and i want to make sure i'm not missing out on any... i'm not including the hall of fame figures in this, because i got a list of those already...

so far i have:
anakin secret ceremony
boba fett pit of carkoon
ashla & jempa
yoda & chian
aayla secura
barriss offee
han hoth (w/ brown coat - did they release a blue coat on this card?)

any others?

another question: why did they re-use the numbers from the 2003 series and keep these figures as part of the '03 collection? i would think that if they are going to change the cards they should have changed the numbers, no?

Yep.

And I think you've got all of them there so far Dave.

As for your other question, who the hell knows?  It's Hasbro...   ::)

Funny, I have never seen the blue coat version on the new gold strip card.  I assume they made less of these on the new cards.  I sa the brown coat version about 5 times.  However, I don't do too much looking these days.

I saw one of these last week. I was SO dissapointed. At first glance I thought "My God, I've finally found a brown-coat Han!" (I was looking at the gold card and thought all the Han re-releases had brown coats).

Scott, what colour would you say this one is? It is late here and the seller is probably in bed so I can't ask him.

Thanks :)

That looks Brown...although I'll say it is really, really hard to tell, they did a great job conveying the true color (or colour if you prefer)

The seller got back to me and it is the brown version. Now, should I spend over $10 on an "error figure"? ;)

I was starting to doubt that the brown (and correct) coat han ever came out.  I haven't heard too many people talking about it and never saw it at retail.  Low and behold.

Only seen the brown coat Han once myself, and never a recarded blue one, though I've heard they're definitely legit.  Just glad I'm not a carded completist, or crap like this stuff, and the HOF assortment, would really bug the hell out of me!   >:(  Granted, the Fett was pretty hard to find for a lot of people, so I guess that reissue makes sense.  Just not the rest of them.

I wonder how many more recarded figs are on the way, aside from those we've already seen, plus the HOF wave?
