Toys-R-Us finds
« on: February 1, 2004, 11:19 AM »
Well, this morning I went to Toys-R-Us in hopes of finding the new Unleashed Statues or new figures. I found none.
The manager was nice enough to look up the stock at the other TRU stores for me and they also have none of the Unleashed or new Figures. She explained to me that it is due to the hit they took at Christmas, the Inventory Stock that they just finished, and the Warehouse who just finished Inventory Stock. She said they are just now slowly starting to get in stock.
As for the Star Wars items listed in the Sales Add she told me to check back later this week. She says the CPU shows the Unleashed in Transit. So hopefully by this weeks end I will find them or at least a few figures.

Anyone here have any luck at their Toys-R-Us store?
Post your findings.

Happy Hunting!

My TRU has not been the place for Star Wars toys at all.

But they sure do have a good selection of Lord of the Rings figures, they keep getting some good trilogy figures in stock.

Don't mean to split hairs, but when you say "trilogy figures", I hope you mean Star Wars Trilogy.  Because there really is room for only one true "trilogy".

Good to hear that the TRU manager explained why things are taking so long to get back to normal.  It makes you wonder how TRU can cry about being beat by Wal-Mart and Target when they take a month to do invintory, and stock very little new product.  It's like they don't even try during January.

I assume Binks is just identifying new LOTR figs.  The new line is called LOTR Trilogy.

The TRU nearest us has been better since they reset things, but nothing fantastic.  They have had the Han/Yoda/Fett Unleashed wave from time to time, but I had them via online long before they got them in.  I found a General Riekaan there once, but they haven't had any ultra since.  As far as basic figures, as of this past weekend they had several Tatooine Padmes, Bail Organas, Dignitaries, R-3POs, Elans, and one lone Jabbas Palace Luke.  They also have several of the Hoth and newer Jedi figure packs.

It is Mainland05 who mentioned the Trilogy Figures not me.
It is the LOTR figures he is talking about. TRU has been getting many of them as of late.

The several TRUs around me get a new case in about once a month, so I rarely even stop by their stores much anymore... Most of them just have the Bail wave clogging the pegs now, with brief glimpses of the new Hoth and Tatooine goods.  I have seen some of the newer Unleashed stuff there though, but not much else.

They've been pretty much dead around here for well over a year.  Pretty bad.  Target gets about 90% of my business!

Just checked on-line to see what figures they have for the free ad this month (buy 14.99 or more and get a free figure) and it's Kren Blista and Achk Med-Beq.

Oh yippee, the two pegwarmers from 2003.  Gee, thanks for such a deal TRU. ::)

Star Wars is relatively dry at my local TRU's, though I've not been making routine toy runs lately because of weather, time, and sometimes $.

I simply hate seeing the miles go up on my odometer too, haha...

TRU's have had a minimal selection though, and the last one I was too (Monroeville, PA) had a wall of the Bail Organa and Janus Greejatus figures...  Blah!

I was afraid that wave would become pegwarmers if shipped heavily. :(  They have at our TRU it would seem.

I haven't been to the one TRU (Greensburg, PA) for a short while, but I'm guessing it's still got a TON of Jango figures (Final Duel and Pilot), some POTJ Bespin Guards, and some Saga leftovers of some sort...

Most WM's have had Clone Wars left overs....  Target's are a mix.

Went to TRU this morning and the truck is a day late. I was told to come in on Thursday night or Friday morning. The lady said the CPU shows differnt Star Wars in Transit. I hope it is on the truck.

Maybe (I doubt it) get lucky and find the new Ultra figs or Jabba Palace Figs.

Well, the sale is for the month so there is time.
