Whats up with this auction?
« on: March 7, 2004, 01:43 PM »
Have a looky.

Vintage Kenner Star Wars Die Cast TIE Fighter MOC 1978!

Now I got mine for a Bin of $15.99 just awhile back.

The one in the auction still has the punch tab, mine does not. It also has a crease going down the right side of the card, mine has one going from the punch to the right side at an angle. Same 21 back card as mine, infact exactly the same card.

My question is, is the prices of these diecasts going up or does the bidders really want it that bad?  $101.00  ???

I think it's that people just don't do their homework and they don't try shopping for it at a cheaper price.  Dale, you getting that for only $15 is an incredible steal though.  I've seen these go for up to $50 if they're carded and the card is in somewhat decent condition.

Dale,  like Chris said you got a steal at $15.00. As you know I am after landspeeders and some of the carded examples I have found have went for over $100.00 in great condition.     Average I would agree with Chris and say around $50-$60.   High grades like figs though really can soar with the prices. I saw one that was dead mint go for over $200.00

I hate it when people try to justify grading services, but geez, this guy makes them seem valuable.  At least those three weren't so bad.

Neat it is but the shipping is a killer! Expect shipping to cost in the neighborhood of $200-300.   :o

Back to the original topic, but not vintage.  This one's good for a laugh...

Here's a brave bidder

I presume he emailed for pics or at least I hope he did.  That's a bit of change for a sight unseen auction.
