Fantastic packaging but I am a little leary that the front/top will be hard to find in mint condition.

Yes, no doubt. I'm suprised that I've seen so many OTC Vader TIE's locally that are actually in great shape. None have had the damage I expect out of that flimsy top/front window deal. Instead, to my surprise, it's the OTC TIE Fighters packed with the X-Wings that seem to be coming out of the box already squished. I'm getting ready to return one today after finding a better box yesterday.

So maybe we'll get lucky. I didn't have too much problem with the B-wing's similar package design, though this seems even more flimsy when you consider those side front panels that sure don't help things. I can imagine finding boxes with those black bars between the front  windows creased or caved in.

This is one that I'll be picking up too if I can find it.  I only actually have the Episode 2 Slave I, and would really like a classic, OT version.  Plus, like you guys said, it really looks spiffy in that packaging too.  A nicely done repaint/repack the way it looks.

Looks like the Y-Wing is a repaint.

AND, it looks like the pilot is a re-hash of the X-Wing "Red Leader" figure and NOT the Saga Gold Leader figure.

 :'(

Not unexpected given today's era of cheap out, but still disappointing.

??? More exclusive vehicle things to chase down. Well, exlusive packaging is all, really, but this kind of stuff counts to me. I'll have to get one. It'a actually a neat concept and the figures included actually should make the set pretty compelling to the casual buyer. But where in the world is this going to show up?

I've read elsewhere that this one will also be a Sams Club exclusive, much like that Falcon with the extra figs. No clue if it's true though.

That's greeeeat news ::)  Ergo, a US exclusive.  Gee, thanks.  It's pretty cool and frankly, I'd much rather buy that two pack than get both separately.  Less display space period and the pilots are a neat touch, though I wouldn't open this one.

My info is that this one is designed NOT for Sam's Club, but rather it will be available at their competitor, CostCo.

Hmm, we at least have Costco.  That could be good news, if they pick it up here.  Tough call, I've very seldom seen SW toys there, only the old Epic Force.  Though they do carry movies, so if they can ship this to coincide with the release, it may work out well.  Thanks for the tip Jeff.

Thanks for that, Jeff. At least with Costco it shouldn't be a problem getting one for anyone that responds to area reports within a few days of the first sightings. Lots of them around here, too.  Any guess on price? 34.99? Maybe 39.99?

That double packing is nice....

I'm guessing the price will be around $50 ($20 for each vehicle, $5 for the figure). I'll probably pass, since I have both POTF2 models (With better models coming soon (TIE), or already here (X-Wing).

Looks like my original info was right on the nose, as GH is now reporting that the TIE vs. X-Wing 2-pack is a CostCo exclusive.
