Pat Tillman killed in Afghanistan

Sad news.  Here's a guy who turned down millions to serve his country.

RIP Pat and thank you for protecting my freedom.

Hey Eli Lindros-Manning.....where's the hat?

The only way to stink this draft up anymore would be for somebody to trade all their draft picks for then next 10 years for Troy Hambrick, but I did hear that Minnesota was interested.... ;)

Udeze was dropping in part to FALSE rumors about him having a problem with his shoulder.  I was under the impression that he is still projected a top ten pick.

Oh, I agree. I really don't think he'll be available, but I watched an ESPN show with some guys OTHER than Mel Kiper (why does Mel Kiper have this job, he's not very good at it), and they were projecting him to fall at around 16 or 17. The Cowboys have been known to trade up if they thought they could get someone worthwhile. If someone with a pick in the teens wants to trade down, 22 isn't that far down, and they would pick up an extra pick. If they traded with Dallas, and if Udeze is still available at that level, we'll take him.

Again, the point is fairly moot, as I am not of the opinion he will drop that far out of the top 10 if he does at all.

I LOVE draft day!

So the Cowboys trade out of the first round this year for Buffalo's first round pick next year. We took Julius Jones (Notre Dame RB) and two offensive linemen who both played for national champions. I'm not thrilled with Jones, but Parcells really likes the guy and he knows oceans of more football than I do. Trust in Bill.

I haven't commented on the Vikes draft yet but I think they did excellent in picking up some Defensive needs especially Udeze and conning the Dolphins out of 4th Rounder to move down one spot

Michele Tafoya will be replacing the idiot Lisa Guerrero on the sidelines of MNF.  Michele started her career here on the local Sports Radio Station (KFAN) and she's been one of my favorites ever since, she knows her sports and she'll be a HUGE upgrade of Lisa "I'm an Idiot" Guerrero

And on a sad note, I saw Melissa Stark doing reports from the Kentucky Derby for NBC...hire her back ABC!!!!!!!!!!  We need more Melissa

Under ESPN's most improved teams - my Bucs came in at number 5.  The Vikes were ranked at number 7.

Dang.

Interesting to note that 3 of the NFC North's Teams were in the top ten there...

1 - Detroit
7 - Vikings
8 - Chicago

So, while the Vikes got better almost everyone else did too :(

At least I can take some solace that the only team not mentioned is the Packers, who might even be worse this year.  :)

The Packers almost always seem to have rather bland offseasons - then they end up around 9-7 to 11-5 and in the playoffs - only to lose in the first or second round.

Agreed... That Guerrero (or however you spell it) is horrible.

How about this rumor...

Collins to Oakland
Gannon to Tampa
Johnson to Baltimore

Makes a lot of sense, Billick gets reunited with Johnson and the Ravens are a legitimate threat in the AFC again...Gannon and Gruden are reunited in Tampa and Collins gets to start in Oakland...win-win-win although Tampa is taking a huge risk with Gannon and his shoulder and ancientness

Giants were able to Sign Warner today...great pick up, stupid move by the Rams.  Bulger has done nothing and Warner could have been doing the same thing.  Idiots ::)

According to the police report, the suspects continued to "kick, punch and stomp on the victim's body and head" after he was knocked unconscious

Quote
Henderson, who recently underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, is the likely candidate to take over at middle linebacker for Greg Biekert, who retired at the end of last season. Farmer also is recovering from knee surgery. Nattiel is a second-year player who has been practicing with the first team but appears to be a long shot at securing a starting position.

What the hell are these bozos doing stomping somebody with surgically repaired knees?  Nice way to represent your community and team, guys ::)
