Isn't there a cross-hatch pattern of sorts on the inside of the legit coats?  A photo of the inside of it would probably help.  That said, it doesn't look pretty good from what I can tell.

I have seen & owned Vinyl Jawa's with the cross-hatch pattern on both the inside & outside of the cape. Like Rob mentioned, better pics & more questions will help. If the cross-hatch pattern is present, does the cape make a zip sound when a finger nail run across it.

I have asked for more pics, specifically of the inside/outside of the coat.  Thanks, guys!  I have serious reservations about ever buying something like this online, but this is the best example I've seen that wasn't obviously fake.

Does that look fake to anyone else?  Even the blonde hair one looks like weird hair coloring.

Wow, odd coincedence...I was just looking at that auction last night. Not sure what it is now, but it was over $212 at the time, so there are a lot of people who seem to think this is legit. There's a somewhat convincing blurb in the listing that attempts to lend some credibility, but I have to admit I have never heard of this particular variant.

Its well over $500 now.  The blurb fromt he auction does help a little, but anyone could have written that.  "I know it's real and have known about it for some time" doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence in me - having someone else verify it's authenticity would be a lot more helpful IMO.

So what's the verdict?  I've never heard of it... is it fake?

Nope, not fake. Check out the "Watch Out!" thread in the vinty section at RS. It's a lot of bling to throw down on this varition IMHO.

Here's da Link.

Winning bid:   GBP 1,838.88
Approximately US $3,040.59

Woah.  I had no idea the LXW was so rare.  Vaders certainly never sell for that price.

That was a pretty rough looking card...I'm glad my collecting sickness does not extend that deeply. Collecting carded stuff would be a nightmare right now.

I got a bunch of carded figures right when I got out of college, but haven't bought any vintage stuff in over a decade.  I'm glad I have what I have, but I'm with you - very glad I haven't felt the desire to expand that part of my collection.   :P
