What makes the poster unique is that less than 500 were made.

That's about 500 more than I need.   ;)  It's kind of like a humpback whale...rare and interesting, but not something I want in my home.

From this moment for all my life. What could I say? Was born to be this way. And what could I say?  Just livin' for today

True, it's kind of like a whistling wombat... I don't need modern crap in my home.  ;)

To each their own Justin but just about every other vintage piece posted in this thread probably has higher production numbers and many would have higher number still in existence carded.  Granted that may not apply to some stuff like a carded DT Vader but it is still quite rare and to me as someone who grew up when that film was in the theater, it brings back a lot of memories.  I am not about to pay thousands of dollars for it but I personally would rather own that than a carded VCJ.

Am I the only one who thinks that is a fair price for the figure?

Well, I don't think it's outrageous but it's certainly beyond my means. I definitely don't think that is too much money to spend on a toy in general though.

There was another out there just like this in the past week or so, not sure if it's still up or not, but it was well over 1000 dollars as well.

I'm just lookin' for a nice loose one for around $300  ;D

No, I think it's a fair price considering what it is.  To be completely honest, if I ever had a thousand dollars and the right opportunity, I'd do it.
